Denis Pagan frequently said last season that due to our success in the Wizard Cup, teams had an opportunity to work out our game plan... He can't use that line now... So my advice to the team is...Hire out a secret training venue as far away from nearby suburbia as possible and use the remaining few weeks to fine tune what remaining work needs to be done in order to help us win games come round 1... I'll hold back from giving any hints of advice for the time being as I see this as being purely impetuous... Best of luck in your preparations for the forthcoming Premiership Season... Go Blues... |

When coming out of defence we still bombed it forward unless it was Houlihan or Stevens who were creative Walker's speed would be a great asset on the wing to break up the play but for some reason he's stuck down back. We need a Jed Adcock type backpocket |

Before long the rest of the competition will be copying our bomb it long to 3 unattended opposition players so that they can run it out of defence with ease. |

Well at least teams won't now work us out... Very funny...I hope you were joking ![]() If you're being serious, opposing teams need only reference tapes from last year...nothings changed. |

All I can say is that the game we played last night produced enough opportunities for us to win the game. The questions remain : How much of this was due to Geelong having more senior players out than us? How much of this was due to poor execution of our opportunites? Will the execution of those opportunities improve in the future? |

One kicked 9 goals and the other stopped our forward line. |

What frustrated me the most last night was the team's constant use of the handball when they should have kicked. We turned it over so many times it wasn't funny. What ever happened to getting the ball, moving forward and then kicking it long to a team mate? Geelong didnt really hurt us that much when we turned it over, but if we do that to the likes of West Coast, St.Kilda, Brisbane etc etc we will get killed. |

The other thing the loss means is that we won't be getting ahead of ourselves in our assessment of the team. We are still crap and have a long way to go. At this time last year we were talking finals. ![]() |
