Membership is the life blood of the club and would strongly advocate everyone buy one or several depending on your circumstances.

However there are a number of other ways we can assist -there are a number of talented people in here that donate their time and talents to the club gratis but surely there are more out there that can offer their skills and time to the club
Like never before they need us

How about we go on the front foot and if commentators/press talk us down or continue to talk our brand down get into print or on the radio and strongly defend our club
Saturday was appalling no question but keep supporting /keep attending -it was a testament to those 4000 people on Saturday that sat through that performance where the only joy was picking up your membership cap before the game started
Its hard but parents keep talking up your club and encourage your kids that they will get better - keep bringing them along they are the next generation
Whatever your views about the composition of the board get to the meeting voice your opinion and then when the decision is made get behind it whether you win or lose
GO BLUES

Well said Frank. The time to show that we are real true Blue is now when the club is in need. It is easy to be a supporter when everything is rosy.

Myself and Mrs NTBlue were visiting from Darwin on the weekend and drove up and back from Rye to Princes Park to see the game.

Like other supporters we were dissappointed with the on field effort. I was also appalled at the state of the members. Walls opposite photos of Blues legends were riddled with white ants. It made me feel quite sad for the club. In contrast to some sentiments expressed in online communities the visit did not encourage me to walk away from the club, but rather it reinforced my decision to upgrade my membership, spend up at the Carlton Shop and even buy a membership for Mrs Blue ( she is a Bombers supporter, so will really get a kick out of her next birthday present!) I am also getting a membership for my son, Darwin Blue.

I wear a Carlton T shirt frequently for casual wear and am amazed at how many people that comment are Blues supporters. Part of my future contribution to the cause will be to twist the arms of those I meet to encourage them to back up their support with whatever level of membership they can afford.

I remember supporting the Blues as a kid in the early sixties when we weren't too successful. Those memories just made the success of the late sixties and seventies all the more sweet. It will happen again and when it does the loyal supporters of today will be rewarded.

I think we should start a Carlton FC Support Fund, which can be run in the same way as the Player Sponsorship. we donate as much as we like and all money goes to the club when we decide to close donations....?

I think this is a good idea as it allows people who want to help but can't quite come up with a $300 raffle ticket or even a $50 ticket. Count me in.

I wear my Carlton jumper to the pub (Beach Rd Hotel Bondi Beach) and I am approached regularly by some interstater, backpacker or local who wants to talk about Carlton.

I drink with Essendon*, Swans and Collingwood supporters and they always start to sing after a couple "La ta ta ta taaa, La ta ta ta taaaa...we are the navy blues...."

I jog on Bondi Beach with my Carlton shorts and hear " Go Blues". from a passer by.

I have rugby fans say to me that the Carlton jumper is the best looking jumper of all the footy codes.

I shout beers to those who wear the jumper in my pub if I see them first...because they are family.

Rugby heads who have dads from Victoria tell me that whilst they don't underrstand the game, they barrack for Carlton because of their dad.

I named my son Carlton...he has his owm Carlton shrine in his room...premiership footy signed and everything I can get my hands on for him from the Carlton shop.

I tell you...it's Carlton here, Carlton there, Carlton everywhere...a small but smart, inclusive, positive groundswell will start a tsunami....and if we can receive $1here, $5 there, $200...Australia wide...we will find those 600,000 Carlton supporters...but it will need to start here ( I can think of no better place)...bild the database, collect the money, thank them and ask them to ask others....as long as the theme is "something...."

I will do everything I can to ensure he enjoys the the success of his footy team CARLTON as I did and still do.

Count me in with Darwin.

Our current situation is nothing like the predicament Richmond, Footscray, Melbourne, Hawthorn and North faced in the past...and we will get through this...and any smartarse who wants to bag my team, better have command of the English language, because I will spell it out:

THE EMPIRE WILL STRIKE BACK and we're going for 17 flags, because we already have 16!

Cheers Blues Brotherhood

Funds can be contributed to the Carlton Foundation where the donations are tax deductable and benefits capital works that the club is looking to invest in.

Someone go out and buy a TC powerball ticket. Millions to one shot, but $22 mil would be a nice shot in the arm for the blues right now!!

This positive article on the Carlton website has been written by someone calling themselves 'blue boy', who has a 'sunny' outlook on Carlton's position.
