I know this has been covered and its probably stating the bleeding obvious but we are in spiralling catch22 and really there are only 2 options for the club The hard one is to fix the off field as it is in such a mess call this the head at the moment its in serious debt / morale is the pits / negativity is running rife in the media / supporters / prob amongst the players coaches and staff. To profer an example of how negative the off field can be is that with all the negative publicity of how much in debt the club is struggling it has to affect the players ... definately effecting supporters (membership) ... also not easy getting sponsers when so much negativty focused on the club. This is no different to a large corporation which is struggling and has negative publicty and morale is rock bottom.. The players are no different to workers in the company its very hard to get yerself motivated work efficiently and get yerself in a positive mode but in reality the Club has some safty nets that a cmpany may not have and that is the competition cant afford at the present time to loose one of its most important assets the CFC. If this was private company it would have been gone long ago its much harsher in business world. So we move to the other fix the heart as this is made up of the players / club and supporters and is the life blood and the heart beat. Though as grim as the off field is this can be fixed. its been said before or maybe not lol but as people have stated we have defy the negativity create the brand enthusiasm and positivity and this prob comes from the supporters this means assist where we can join up even more so now ... attend games on mass. of course this only works if supporters get behind this. but the flow on affect of this should hopefully ignite the players the club ect. It will stop all the negative press or at least counter it. A full blues crowd and games will help lift the team and hopefully show a competative fighting spirit show that no matter what the players feel a united supporter base show that they belong to the club. All this hopefully will mean a more competaive on field show, this then leads to something more successful. when the blues are successful they are also a team that the successful people want to associate with. And there are many high profile people out there who will unfortunately associate with a strong powerful blues but not so when they are struggling. This cant be helped and may sound like those successfiul people should be putting more in but i can garantee if BMW or similar was goin bankrupt the big end of business wouldnt be out to associate with BMW and unfortunately from the Blues past we have some of that stigma so the spark has to come from us the supporters / members ect this will then bring back the big end of business who can continue the hard work laid down by us. Anyway from all of this fix the onfiled and it will go a hell of a long way to fixing the off field. Then we will get sponsers ... players will want to play for the blues .. and we can go back to being a powerhouse.. that hopefully will have learnt from the past. As i said easier said than done .. and stating the obvious but from what i can see though not the only solution prob one that if the supporters rallied would help right a listing ship. And again this has to come from the supporters if the club does tin rattles ect it again has a negative image. If supporters chip in and show initiative and work together it shows a lot stronger message to the players / club / board. As has been said before th supporter can be the most positive influence in a club. Anyway i am sure i will get told that its been said before or that its wrong again only an opionion cheers |

You have to do both.... You do it by selling a plan. If you do abit of this and you do abit of that and noone knows what the @#$%&! youre doing .. members and sponsors will run away. You have to have a plan... you must follow it... You also must get proactive with ideas and imaginative. Nothings going to come to us on a plate like were a superclub... because were not!!!.. But we still have the fundamentals to be a superclub!!!.. we havent lost those.. |

Sorry never much of a Catch 22 fan - they made us watch it in Year 11 English - so it suffered from anything that was part of the school curriculum - we thought it was shit and ignored it. ![]() |
