Today's Australian sports section leader is: "Carlton's bailout to cost at least $50 million. No wonder other clubs are screaming Blue Murder."

By Greg Denham.

essentially, if the AFL buys out the ground lease they'll be coughing up 1.8 to 2.0 mil per annum to 2035. That's about $50 mil.
Some other un named clubs apparently aren't pleased.

Beat up of the best proportions. What do the roos and dogs and Melb get out of the CBF? Up to $1.5 mil per annum. In the case of the roos multiply that by a number of years and wow that's a big @#$%&! number.

Side bar article is by Mr Smith. "Carlton Capers best-seller tip" Just pat trying to be witty and failing again. Comparing some book titles to our woes. He is a very clever man.

In my edition of this fine paper, Pat's article is repeated in full on the next page. Verbatim. I wonder if they'll pay him twice for that.

Someone who knows how might be able to load up the links.

Dont be silly....we man the gates and say:

"yeah we know...yeah we're shit.....yeah you guys have passed us by....yeah we deserved it etc etc"

we let them gloat and have a laugh at us.........and then we take their $$$$ and say "oh yeah, didnt we tell you, the Nth Melb price IS $10 as advertised, but there is a Ground Upkeep and maintenance levy of another $10 per person, sorry about that, now what was that you were saying about Carlton!!!
