No Bannister or Wiggins.

Apart from Saddington, that would be full strength wouldn't it?

Not named:

Jordan Bannister, Paul Bower, Chris Bryan, Justin Davies, Jake Edwards,
Adam Hartlett, Josh Kennedy, Troy Longmuir, Setanta O'hAilpin, Anthony Raso, Jason Saddington, Simon Wiggins.

Excluding the young & injured players, I asume the player not likely to ever play again is on that list.

Given this is a dress rehearsal for round 1 & Davies will be ineligible to play, I doubt he would have been considered.

Yeh its great Flint is getting a go, watching him for the Ants he isnt the player he looks. I didn't expect him to be so physical and vocal, top player.

The Squad has 28 names in it - I assume that would be reduced

What's up? Where's Casper?

What I think I understand is:

O'hAlpin must be still carrying that same leg injury from last weekend....damn!! He needed this run before round 1;

Saddington probably wont play in Round 1...no match conditioning;

Bower and Edwards are serving their apprenterships, hence understandable;

Kennedy and Raso, understandable ommissions;

Davies...won't feature in the first 4 rounds....suspension might mean no need for round 1 rehersal.

Questions I have?b]

[b]Bryan
and Hartlett .....must have injuries???? If not, WTF

Bannister....what's wrong with Casper???

Wiggins....I thought he showed something in the Ants last weekend. DP's lovechild no more?

Davies...won't feature in the first 4 rounds....suspension might mean no need for round 1 rehersal or he's not worthy of consideration??.

Longmuir....Where is he??? What's up?? Have the young ones already proved too good for him?? (There were some good pics of him on TC from the intraclub game!)

The rest missing are all rookies...understandable....but why select Flint for a full dress rehersal for round 1 when he is on the rookie list,and can't play in round 1? (Maybe someone is making room for him?)

BIGGEST QUESTION MARKS???:

1, Bannister???
2, Wiggins???
3, Longmuir???

BIG QUESTION MARK ?

4, Davies??

QUESTION MARK?

5, Bryan?

How many are allowed to play from the list of 28?

At least 4 might be chopped? Here goes:

Due to the fact that it'll be a full dress rehersal, I guess it will be Flint being dropped (or DP wants a look at him against Bulldogs seniors; that's promising); Chambers; Teague...and living on the edge would be Prenders (who I like, but may be needed as tall players Hartlett, O'hAlpin and Bryan will be missing), Teague (albeit a good negating effort agst WCE, but slow), Sporn (blitzed in the Ants last weekend, but hasn't been a favourite thus far), Scotland (who need to improve his defensive side and second efforts), and Russell (because he doesn't seem to be getting a go over the last few weeks in the NAB). How many is that? That's 8. Only need to drop 4. IMO the most likely dropped will be:

Flint
Chambers
Teague
Russell

So that's Sporn, Prenders and Scotland to just be ahead of those above, but not necassarily above the pecking order of those who are missing; unless DP has decided that he doesn't need them anymore.

Go Blues

THE EMPIRE WILL STRIKE BACK!! because DP has already done so.

I'm interested in your last comment re Prenders. Do you like him in the squad or do you wander why he should be included? Why?

Cheers

I'd prefer to see as many youngsters as possible getting a game before Prenders at this stage because I don't think Prenders has a future at Carlton so I wonder why he keeps getting a game.

I'm not surprised about Longmuir at all - don't rate him one bit. I'm not about Bannister - did he play against WC because I didn't see him playing for the Bullants last weekend, which makes me suspect he may have an injury??

I think Bannister is the player Electric Blue referred to as being told he's not getting a game this year at all

All the guys need a run with this being the last praccie game before round 1.

Would like to know if Hartlett and O'Hailpin are injured.If Pagan and his staff are picking the same guys who have let us down time and time again then I am disappointedI it not injury based.

For the same reason i hope Flint gets a decent run (at least a half). Would love him to get a taste and to see what he can do before he's banished to the Bullants as a rookie for the rest of the season.

Didn't I see that DOA stated twice that it is not Jordan?

I would rather Pagan be up front and honest than give false hope. No problem with what he said if it is true. Would have to be Bannister who is lucky to be on the list this season anyway IMO.

Yeah, can't work out where I got that impression. 8)
