Aisake "The most difficult aspect of moving from GAA to Aussie rules is that the game is professional and is seven days a week. In Ireland i only used to train after school or work so its been a big transition to get used to the professionalism. Its also been difficult to relocate away my family but i am enjoying it and there is no doubt that i want to to make it in the AFL.

On not playing with setanta "Setanta and i have trained seperately and playing in different teams both in Ireland and Australia so being apart isn't an issue

Setanta "It was disappointing to have got injured but i have accepted injuries are part of the game. I want to work hard to establish myself as a senior listed player this year. I have a two year contract so there is no pressure on me to play a set number of matches"

Awesome.

Get the feeling Aisake is going to end up being the better of the two.
Picked up the game and skills a lot quicker than Setanta did and should be 1st ruck, or at least 2nd ruck, in the Bullants seniors.

You're probably right pj but I think Setanta has a far greater attack on the ball and offers more intensity. Aisake improvement seems to have tailed off a bit as well.
Let's not forget that Setanta managed a 7 goal haul against Williamstown only 6 months after starting at Carlton. Was elevated to play against the Crows but succumbed to stress fractures. This had a massive impact on Setanta and I think he really suffered subsequently (he was on a real roll up to then).

So whilst Aisake is probably more skilful and mobile than Setanta, he cant match him on the ferocity stakes.

Thanks Kevin! I love that they are so determined to make it - that's one thing that is really evident in all of their interviews & from what others have reported after speaking with them. Here's hoping they both have a big year.

i love how they have come from a sporting amateur background and have a very professional attitude to the game.
Whether they make it or not (and i think they will both play 100 games) theyre winners!!!

Its easy to see theyre winners when you watch them train. They put EVERYTHING into getting EVERYTHING out of themselves.
In my opinion they have a very positive influence on the group.

PJ i agree...... he looks the more natural out of the two blokes. Setanta thinks to much but im sure in time that may improve. Have to say was a great read on the craper this morning highly motivated individual but i still have my doubts

Unfortunately nothing yet Beano, they can be a little sluggish depending on how the article is submitted to their database (third party operating online archives for the Herald Sun).

Had it been an article from The Age I could have PMed you the whole thing. Can't post due to one law or another, IP laws?

yes great read in today's Herald Sun, it's a double page 1 on 1 interiview.
Apparently Sentanta used to go to the gym room as late as 1am to train, which cause him to break down with stress injuries, but later Denis taught him to train smarter.

I read that yeah, I hope bullistic did also, i.e. it was in the past, admitted he overdid it but knows what has to be done, up to date sources there

I've been keeping up to date on all this and it seems to me that both Synbad and Beano have a habit of shooting down anyone with a differing opinion to theirs. Yours are the only opinions that matter, eh boys??
*controversial*
