I love the rule change because it makes the game more unpredictable and free flowing when the defenders attack from the word go.

Anyone else think that it sped the game up too much? Too many times the player who kicked the ball hadn't recovered before it was on again. This meant that our defence at times were pressured by the point thing as was theirs but I'm only interested in our Team. It's moving towards a game with a fast break like Soccer UK style has. |

Melbourne got their last 2 goals as a direct result of it. In a way it takes away contests around the ground but it does create more one on one contests in the forward line. Overall I like it, probably because it has solved our kicking in problems for the last few years. |

The rule was introduced to speed up the game and reduce flooding as players will eventually run out of puff trying to set up their defensive zone. I like the rule and to be honest it doesn't really have that much influence on the game. Mostly we waited until the opportune moment anyway. |

It's a bit overused at the moment. Eventually it will only be used when appropriate, rather than willy nilly, much like Melbourne did. If the opportunity is there, go for it, otherwise take the time to settle and find a target. |
