I put West and Griffen in my Dream Team on the AFL website

Years of planning, preparation, hard work and good luck had brought me to this point, and the feeling of satisfaction was immense. To play a small part in a first-up win, to make it safely through, and to share it with everyone involved at one of the league's great clubs was sensational. I had sung the club song twice before after our practice match victories, but this was different. This was the real thing. As first-gamers, Dylan McLaren and I had to get into the middle of the circle along with Kouta. It was great to share the moment with those two and we sung the song loud and hard. I'm looking forward to singing it many, many more times.

Wouldn'r mind a copy of Pagan's Kouta highlights reel ...

...it was on the strength of their performances in Lavington that night that I put West and Griffen in my Dream Team on the AFL website. I have to admit I've selected myself in my squad as well, but only because I'm cheap. I relegated myself to the substitutes bench for the opening round, preferring to see what points Eddie Betts can bring me.

Fantastic read!! He's a beauty, and I love the part he says he has a real desire to sing our song many more times. Really important that Carlton supporters take on board some of the things he said regarding the team, their commitment, team mates and leadership. He respects our leaders' ability on and off the field, namely, Kouta and Stevo, but he talks up the input of Lappin and Fev, and highlights the importance of Barnaby and Whitnall being in the team. A good message for us all to consume and remember.

It is good to hear that there is a bit of leadership in the group. Its seems like Stevens is looking after Murphy and the youngns. Good to hear Fev being vocal in the huddles.
