Dunno if you guys have done this before but I'd like to highlight the complete lack of checking done by media outlets when it comes to news on Carlton. Happens so much it makes me cringe. Here's a classic opener: AFL.com.au Match Prevew of the Blues v the Dockers Andrew Wu wrote: THE MEDICAL ROOM: Dodgy hamstrings feature prominently in the medical rooms at both clubs. In good news for Blues spearhead Brendan Fevola, the Dockers will be without defender Robert Haddrill (hamstring) for at least another week, with Ryley Dunn (hamstring) also likely to miss the clash with Carlton. The buoyant Blues had their first round win slightly soured by a hamstring strain to promising young forward Brad Fisher, while injury-plagued ruckman Adam Hartlett (hamstring) needs to pass a fitness test on his hamstring to make the trip to Western Australia.
The lack of knowledge on Hartlett's status on the list is unsurprising, but a ruckman? All they had to do was read the profile on their site. Jesus. |

I'm just saying cite anything you see in newspaper reports because while this may be a simple typo, there's quite regularly some glaring errors. It probably happens with other games and teams, and I think news outlets (who read this site) should lift their game is all. |
