Post subject:  Audio streaming for today"s game

At the moment I cannot get access to a link on the AFL website to give any live steam for any footy. Just a bit worried that I will not be able to listen to our game. Anyone have a link? My normal AFL bookmark will not connect and 3AW live stream has been stopped.
Help!

The game is on ABC Radio, just jump on http://abc.net.au/radio and try out all the streams until you get what you're looking for.

Hopefully the AFL have their links up though.

Can you get on to the AFL site but can't connect from there to the live audio? Sometimes you need an applet to get going. What system are you on - xp? I'm on now but i had probs....let me know what's happening..

I've also found that sometimes the audio streaming links off the AFL site won't be active until a few moments before game time. Fingers crossed for you Taff. I'll be watching the game live on the couch. 8)

I have used Explorer and Netscape to get on the site and no luck with connection to the live audio, I have XP.

Hi Camel - couldn't even get the audio from any game this afternoon! The AFL website is such a crock! I have 2 hours grace so hopefully I can get on in that time.

What happens when you click the live score link?
Sometimes you get a blank screen and it will say you need an applet or something and you need to click an options button on the right top side. You will get a list of options - click the top onr - it will mention applet. Nothing will appear to happen but if you return/go back to tje live score link, click it and you should be avle to get in.

I'm on now so its running - the problem is at your end (I've heard internet connections in China are pretty shite).

What happened to me here was that I clicked the link and a blank page opened up but down in the left bottom corner of the screen it just said "transferring data from ds system" or something. In other words it was trying to open but wouldn't - yesterday I left it like that for half an hour and it just continued trying to open.

What the op did here was copy the address at the top of the page that is trying to open -

http://afl.com.au/default.asp?pg=champi ... d=10160202

- opened up a new Explorer page and pasted up the top there ....or you could just click the link I gave you above....

You can try that...but I'm not sure what your actual problem is

No nothing happens - I posted your link and just the AFL banner comes up after you negotiate through the Carlton website. I must a have a bug in my system. Ill run a spyware check and see what happens. I listened to the game in 3aw streaming last week but it is now blocked.
I may have to be satisfied with diligent posters! Thanks for the suggestions.

its prog. into the carlton boards so that we get more hits on the club site (=more revenue or something). The link wont work though if you have carltonfc.com.au etc so what u need to do is copy the link into the browser and replace it with a.f.l.com.au (well the proper afl site)

Is it the afl banner up the top and the rest just a blank white page? That sounds like the applet problem - its been the same for every xp pc I've been on. At the top of the blank page part should say something like 'unable to open - click here' with an arrow pointing to the right top of blank part of screen...where it says options. Follow instructions as above post...

I can't tell u exactly what it looks like and says because i'm not on xp now...

Let me know how u go........

the banner and then white blank remainder is what I have. There is no 'unable to open - click here' option. It was suggested that I turn off the pop up blocker but that didn't work either.

Still sounds like the applet problem. Was the popup blocker suggestion on the white blank page? If it was did u go out and back to the live score link and click back in again after u closed the pop up?

Sorry, you probably know more about these things than I do but having tried to get the footy from less advanced countries, I understand your problem.

The A(w)F(u)L site is a joke. I have just been taked to the coverage for round 14 ! Don't know which year, but we play west coast over there.

I hope Brisbane & Essendon* play a nil all draw.
