Already this season we have seen some improvement in some Carlton players.

Walker, Waite, Carrazzo, Simpson, Houlihan...

Now that the club is well into developing a good list, which Carlton player do people think will take the next step this year...?

There is a growing list of young talent emerging I feel and if each were to take a step in the right direction this season, then there is plenty to look forward to...

Good Luck Blues tomorrow night against the Swans... A must win to get the season off to a more than good start.

Carrazzo will have a very good year IMO.

Is Carrots eligble for the NRS?

I would like Bentick to become more consistent because I know he has the ability too!
Carrots have been the quiet achiever, while Walker looks very explosive and dangerous. Both player kicks have improved immensely over the pre season.

I have quite a few ear marked for break out seasons. They're all about that age now.

I think Houlihan will be wearing some pretty heavy tags by year's end.

The boy's just stepped up a class.

Walker is very close to exploding IMO.

Bit constipated then?

Carrazzo has already become our number 1 tagger who does a bit of damage. Walker is showing plenty of good signs with some nice run. Waite, if consistent, could be a dominant player. Kade is backing himself but needs to work on his disposal.

Carrazzo, Bentick, Betts and Walker should all take the next step this year.

I think they'll all move forward but Setanta is a little behind them. He has to take the first step before the next. Having said that when are they gonna play him? He looked good against the cats pre-season.

Oh so we're talking about THE next step? In that case yeah, drop Santy out of that list, though keep an eye on him, once he gets back in the team he has plenty to prove.

If Walker learns to kick well on both feet, he could be an absolute superstar. As a dashing rebounder (or even midfielder), he doesn't hurt teams enough with his disposal.

I have hopes that if he fixes this piece of the jigsaw (kicking), Walks will be everything we have hoped for.
