I will bet good money the guy does three poofs of nothing tonight. A disgrace he's in the team, but if he does well, we'll win, sadly he wont. |

I'm sure Deloooks will be rapt to hear he is the pivot player against the reigning premiers. |

He actually had a a reasonable game tonight, given the way the Blues were using the ball. |

Yes I can admit this as true. But he didn't crack the game open or anything. |

The gloves seemed to give him a bit more confidence and grip with his marks. |

He's no Jonathon Brown. He's never going to tear a game apart. He's the best option we have while JW is injured at the moment. I can't believe how negative you are being. A journey begins with a single step. We are on the way and it's exciting. |

Is he ever really going to do this though? As long as he competes well and grabs his fair share then he'll do while the kids are developing. |

I want him to be a ruckman, but he was a solid option tonight. One thing that really annoys me, and it's the slightly above VFL level blokes that seem to do it (Chambers, Deluca, Teague, Sporn, though Chambers and Sporn try to counteract it) is that they almost always go back from the mark to kick after a mark, regardless of the play sometimes. Chambers and Sporn did a few things on the run but Teague and Deluca were shocking when they played on. Deluca can be excused because it does take a while for the ball to reach his foot. ![]() Not a bad game by Deluca tonight, the gloves did give him some confidence. |

You're a disgrace to the name Bosustow. F*ck off back to your cave. There were a couple of iffy moments, but Archie had a solid one. |

Marking was better, but kicking was atrocious When he marks, he seems to take forever to turn around. When he had finally turned around to assess the available options, the swans had already flooded back |

He was much better, contested well and had some sort of impact. He didn't star but if he can do that most weeks there will be weeks when he will. |

he was definitely better tonight, much better, but how short's a piece of string? i couldn't help but feel, when he'd struggle to click that he was in a position to make a contest but would fail to get moving quickly enough to make that contest, or when he'd take the ball and rather than get it on quickly he'd go back and look and then look again, in which time 17 Swans had got back into the defensive 50, that: Deluca is not the smartest of footballers, it doesn't seem to come naturally to him, we're trying to teach him the AFL game and we're hanging in there because he's really friggin tall and gives us something, which means: Why not play Setanta instead? He may not yet be the smartest of footballers, the game doesn't come naturally to him, we're trying to teach him the AFL game and we're hanging in there because he's really friggin tall and would give us something ... perhaps even something more, like: Genuine pace, aggression at the contest, one-grab marks, and the promise that in Setanta we have a player who could potentially be part of the future. I'm no clairvoyant, but I don't see Deluca in our future. I'd at least like to know if Setanta is part of our future or not. And I don't see us losing one brass razoo by giving it a go. |

The gloves must be made from a very supple and padded material, they've done wonders for his hard hands. Can he get some boots made from the same stuff? That kick directly to an opponent in the forward 50 was terrible ![]() |

Had a top game, took some good marks, he was always on good opposition, did some hard things, chasing and tackling, deserves to play next week IMO. |
