Saddington, seemd quite stiff in his approach. In fact he looked kinda startched. BUT, he seems to be a better and more reliable defender than T-Bird and Livo, albiet in the same shaky mould, his goal was handy.

McLaren looks like the new Prenda. Hopefully he plays some better, more consistent footy than Prenda. Just hafta wait and see.

Dont see what McLaren brings to the table that is more valuble than what Bear was serving up last season

It's a bit early to be critical or passing judgement isn't it?

I'm prepared to give these guys a bit of time to fit in; and to gain match hardness and confidence in their new surroundings and team mates.

I think Thornton did a way better job after Saddington was getting stitched by O'Loughlin early. :?

Saddington looked slow but one cant blame him as he is short of a decent preseason and match fitness but one has to say that the match will do im a world of good. Mclaren well my minds not made up on him give him a little longer and see how he goes.

Mclaren

Only 23. Is fairly mobile, can mark, is kicking goals, and has a decent attitude.

In years too come and with the right coaching :

We know that he will be bigger and stronger
He will kick goals
Still be mobile

Saddington

Obviously prepares himself too the best of his ability. He had a decent build, and seems too work hard. Only first senior game back.

Unfortunately seem too offer more than say a Longmuir and even a Chambers, although the latter got more game time last night, but still just doesn't see to have it go his way, somthing just missing.

Yeah a bit early to judge but I think McLaren so far has been great for the team & Barney.
Saddo needs to find a role. The injuries last night affected the team setup for sure I reckon and Saddo's role changed early on. Needs to settle.

McLaren is there for his back up ruck purposes. If French needs a rest or gets injured, well McLaren is your man. Give him some time but he did alright last night.

As for Saddington, he is a proven footballer at Sydney, we know what we are going to get, he will be good for our defence, give him more time as well, but I think he will be a winner.

Okay, here goes...

*stretches his neck, grows 7 and a half inches taller and puts the number 9 on his back*

...Whadda ya reckon? :D

Seriously, neither have done anything spectacular, but it's too early to judge them yet. I reckon Saddo will be good for us once he gets a bit of match fitness. We didn't give up anything of value for either of them, so really, any positive impact they give is a bonus.

Go to training.
Watch how committed he is there.
Understand why he isn't getting a game
See TD put him under the pump
It's tremendous to watch that he doesn't look interested at training and doesn't get played!

Saddo and Dylan = 100% improvement on last year!

I think Saddo was a bit rusty, as you would expect, he will continue to improve and be in our best 18 all year, if his body holds up.

Dmac is getting better every week, kicks goals under pressure and frees French up, the Banaarby will have his best year at the Blues thanks to the arrival of McClaren.

Chambers- I'm afraid your time is up, next on the Couch - Davies.

I thought McLaren actually played a pretty good game. A bit patchy, but very encouraging. Likewise with Saddington, he was very patchy to begin with, but showed a bit when he went forward.

McLaren was OK if not great, and Saddington looked like a guy who hasn't played for over 12 months.

I'd give both until mid season before putting a cross or tick next to their name.

McLaren, was down back laying bone crunching tackles and up forward taking marks. Will get better as he gets stronger, Barry Hall did push him off too easy in a boundary throw in during the last qrt.

Sad - gee, coming back after a knee reco playing for a new team against your old team mates, rusty but will get better.

i was impressed with mclaren's ruckwork in the third quarter and early in the last quarter, though it was one of the reasons why we got back into the game.

as for saddington he will be good for us, just needs a bit more match fitness.

Thought Saddington was good for us in some patches during the game. Loved his first attack on the ball. He'll get better as the weeks go on and become a good player for us.

McLaren's solid ruck work in the 3rd quarter was the spark that got us back into the game. Worked extremely hard and his efforts were rewarded by starting on the ground in the 4th.

Like Saddington, he'll get better as the weeks go by.

Well he better start to get some scores on the board as he and Livingston look like the first 2 on the list who are getting some games to find out if they will be retained.

Longmuir,Bannister,Wiggins,Prendergast and Davies will get their chance, you might see Longmuir,Prendergast,Wiggins or Bannister this week in for injury and Suspension,so their fate lies in their performances.
Scotland,Mcgrath and Teague should be safe, but then again funny things do happen.

It's a bit early to talk delisting but all these players know the time is now,
but i'm almost certain Chris Bryan would be the first on the list, even thou i reckon he is better then some players on the list, but he doesn't get much of a run, he did play 11 games but with Deluca back he isn't getting a game and won't get much unless injuries occur.
