Post subject:  Lappin's ok

This is my first post, thought I might spread some good news. Heard on the radio (actually my dad heard it and told me) that Lappin has only disturbed some old scar tissue in his shoulder and its not a bad problem. They didnt say if he would play this week but it sounds like at worst he'll just miss 1 match which is obviously good news. Assuming Fev doesnt get suspended on this ridiculous charge (should have been a free and nothing more), then for Richmond is round 5 we should have Fisher, Waite and Lappin all back in the team. If any one of those 3 had played against the Swannies (or not got injured after 5 mins) I'm sure we would have gotten over the line. Hope this lightens a few blue hearts who had been worrying about the Rabbit (thats my nickname for Lappin - in French Lappin means Rabbit).

Yeh everything shuts down over Easter so it's hard 2 get all the scans done - x-ray, Cat, MRI, ultrasound etc. My old man heard on the radio bout midday that Laps is ok, musta had some good results this morning.

I heard he was likely to miss 2 weeks.

Quote:
Pagan said Jarrad Waite, who was a late withdrawal from Carlton's selected line-up, would be "touch and go" for next week but at this stage the club was likely to err on the side of caution with his "very minor grade one strain".

Why did you quote a Waite paragraph then?

Be very suprised if Lappin only misses a couple. You could see after the hit that his arm went all floppy.

Even minor shoulder injuries tend to drag on.

Fev can accpet 1 game but if they decide to go up aginst the charge he could get rubbe dout for 2-3 so i would just take the 1

Matthew Lappin will definitely miss one match - possibly two.

There is absolutely no chance of him lining up against the Hawks...sorry...but that's just the way it is!
