With the suspension of Brendan along with Fish and Waitey missing through injury do many of you believe Livo should be given a go up the other end of the ground and played out of the goal square?

Saturday night it was evident that Livo was ommited as there was no match up for him and it looks the same this week. Lance will take Croad and either T-bird or even Carrazzo on Williams. Or do most think that Livo will come in and play on Croad and Dennis moving Lance up forward.

I honestly believe that Livo could make a great forward well a better option than Adrian Deluca anyway. Livo would be far more mobile, better strength, could hang onto a mark and is definately a much quicker and smarter footballer. You can see the pressure he is under and this is even evident at training (pre season) i think moving up forward will ease the burden and could even improve his value if he kicks a few goals (bulldogs).

Stick Livo on Dawson and watch him kick 5.

The problem with Livo is that he can't kick straight. No point having a marking forward who can't kick goals.

I think the Hawks decide which defender plays on which forward.

I had a similar thought. Livo would definately be worth a try in the forward line.

True, but chances are if Livo went forward, Dawson would pick him up as just about no one rates Livingston.

Yeah his kicking does let him down but i would rather Livo take a shot at goal than under pressure deep in defence trying to hit a team mate and then turn the ball over.

Can compensate for his dodgy kicking by telling him not to leave the goal square and play a Plugger type role.

If Livo can out wrestle Quinten Lynch, then he should have no problem out muscling whatever the Hawks throw at him.

That's if he plays, of course.

I remember about 3 years ago Livo was swung forward in a game against the Swans in Sydney - from memory he took 3-4 good strong grabs, including at least one high pack mark, but only kicked 2 behinds and 1 OOBOTF for his efforts.

I remember thinking at the time he'd be worth sticking up there for a few games to see if he got his kicking right.

He may respond well to the release of pressure and you know at the very least he'd give 110%.

Perfect chance to bring in O'hAilpin and play him as a leading forward from deep in attack.

Its looking like Harts and Kennedy will miss along with Waitey and Fish and there is no way Setanta would come in as he will crumble with none of the experianced blokes around him so i dont see why a player like Livo should sit out when we could exploit the Hawks weaknesses

Why would O'hAilpin crumble? Who are the experienced players he needs to be playing for him to get a game? That's a pretty weird theory.

Might aswell give Livo a chance to try prove himslef in the forward line.
If that doesn't work swap over Lance and Livo and see if that works.Also bring into the side kennedy and O'haplian if warranted and see what they can do...Maybe someone like Bannister or even a Bryan could be brought in?Has anyone else have any ideas on who else could play in the forward line?I can't think of anyone else!!!!

Did you get to see the NAB cup game against Geelong, Konstrukt?

Apart from his kicking for goal, Setanta played a ripper game and was taking marks all over the place. I think this would be a great game to bring him in for.

Chances are he'll get one of Croad, Roughead or Dawson.

I'd expect Roughead to play on our #1 forward and Croad to play up forward and exploit Lance's pace.

If no O'hAilpin I'd expect to see McLaren/DeLuca rotating at FF, Kouta at CHF and maybe Longmuir as an extra target.

The logical option though would be Lance to the forward line, especially with Saddington in, and Livo coming in to mind Everitt down back. The Hawks don't have a particularly big forward line outside their resting ruckman, so that is a mini blessing I guess and with Saddington, Thornton and maybe Livo, Lance could be spared to go up forward.

Im not doubting his abillity and know what he is capable of, i just think for his development and confidence i would rather see him come in when Fev, Waitey and Fish are up and running and he can easily slot into the mix.

Imagine the pressure he will be under knowing he has to hold up the forward line last thing we want is his confidence to take a belting, thats all im saying. Would feel more comfortable having him play along side Fev, Waitey and Fish than all alone up there.

As I said, chances are he'd be playing on either Dawson or Roughead.

I reckon he'd smoke Dawson and probably draw with Roughead.

Is Fevola contesting the charge or taking the week?

im thinking he would take the one week suspension. If he contests the charge and fails isn't it likely he could face another week ontop?
