Ok I know I am getting a lil head of myself here in thinking about forum games.
But not being very busy at work, I started thinking about getting some feedback on trying to start a mini comp between the forums.

Off the top of my head I can think of 8 teams that maybe interested in joining the comp in the off season.
TalkingCarlton, BomberBlitz, Saintsational, Collingwood, Punt Road End, Demonland, Kangaroos, Hawk Headquters,
These will be the teams that I will be asking if I get good enough feedback from here first.

Now if all of these teams agree, we can work it so we all play each other once, ie:-

Round 1
TC vs BB
HHQ vs SS
PRE vs COLL
DEM vs KANG

Round 2
SS vs BB
TC vs HHQ
PRE vs Demon
COLL vs KANG

Round 3
BB vs KANG
TC vs DEMON
HHQ vs COLL
SS vs PRE

Round 4
DEM vs COLL
KANG vs PRE
BB vs HHQ
TC vs SS

Round 5
PRE vs BB
DEMON vs HHQ
TC vs KANG
SS vs COLL

Round 6
BB vs COLL
PRE vs TC
SS vs DEMON
KANG vs HHQ

Round 7
SS vs KANG
BB vs DEM
HHQ vs PRE
TC vs COLL

Finals will be the top 4 teams, 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3. The 2 winners will play off in the GF.

One of the things I was thinking, was all games be played on the same weekend, eg, Round 1, TC vs BB be played Saturday morn at 11am and then HHQ vs SS be played in the arvo, then the other 2 games be played on the Sunday in the morn and arvo again. Then we have a 2, maybe 3 week break, then play the next round.

Being played in Summer I think there should be a max playing temp, say, 35. Once over 35 the game is called off and those teams split the points.
These are just a few ideas I was thinking about.

If we get good feedback here I will pitch it to the other forums and see what comes about.

I like the idea, fullmont, but the max temp shouldn't be as high as 35, I would lower it to 30 or so.

You know I'm in, ready to lead from the front again.

Just on the idea, I'm all for it Clint, however, I ran a similar idea by the people over at SS and they didn't like it one bit. Said it was taking away what the games were all about, taking away the spirit (because they always play in the right spirit) and allowing the games to become too serious.

But, I reckon if we get the other forums involved SS will follow suit.

was just thinking, if each team provides an umpire, that makes 2 umpires per game....each umpire gives 3,2,1 votes of the opposite team at games end....(so if we play SS first up, our umpire gives 3,2,1 votes to SS...and visa versa)

then we tally the voted and award an MVP?
