The man has just become a sad sad man. Time for Jack to take a back seat and worry more about his own problems. Geez the media have been having a great time pantsing us, if Jack was a real Carlton man he'd button his lip seeing he's a big reason we're in the poo.

If the footy world thought we were cocky before, wait for the ressurection.

The journalists who bother to talk to Elliot must be either

desperate for an interview of any sort.

totally unable to think imaginitively of a different angle to the Carlton President thing.

or eliberately wanting to run with something that keeps us visibly connected with the Elliot era.

or else all of the above.

I thought I would never say this, but thank god Caro not believing some of his crap and putting Jack back into his box...

Caro - "Jack, what do think of Campo running around in Essendon* colours"
Jack - "Makes me sick, it was the current boards fault for letting it happen"
Caro - "Weren't you president when Arron Hamill left Carlton to goto the Saint"

The lazy journos who interview an easy target like Elliot s**t me because Im just wanting Elliot and everything to do with that man to be a receding dot in the rear vision mirror getting and smaller and smaller until it is over the horizon and totally gone.

Only them will I start to feel cleansed.

tried to get on, i was that friggin fired up ... wanted to give both WLF & buffoon jack a huge serve

i didn't want to let on that i was gonna bag them, but they must have sensed it coz they didn't let me on ... instead taking at least one call that i heard from an elliott supporter

it's always the same story, they bring him on without any desire to hold him accountable for anything ... they just allow him to ramble on and present this picture of a perfect club while he was there which inexplicably fell apart the moment he was unjustifiably removed by the forces of evil ...

i'm surprised i didn't hear him say "it's not my fault it was my fault"

Couldn't believe some of the crap Jack was coming out with...

Saying the club had plenty of money when he left.
Saying no unity in the current board.
Saying he knew before the current board the Collo was going to resign and not show up to the election meeting.
Saying he knew 3rd hand whats was going on within the board.

Still the same old Jack who didn't know when to shut up.

You have to take Jack with a grain of salt. Yes - he is part of the reason why we're in the position we're in now...I also give some credit where it's due for a couple of flags.

But he's not the only one - there were others...and worse than Jack - they have gone away and have a clean slate...can you even name them?

What pisses me off how Jack goes on about there is noone on this board capable of ruuning a footy club, what Jack means is that there is noone willing to suffer from a guilty conscious by cheating the sytem and pay players under the table while also frauding the tax system.

I have heard from a reliable source that he was meant to be on another show on Fox instead

I think it was called Grumpy Old Men

To me thats all he resembled a tired grumpy old man, who has nothing better to do than to satify the media by making stupid inaccurate accusations just to satify thier appetite for putting sh*it on us.

Its disappointing as I do have quite a lot of respect for Clinton and do enjoy watching WLF but any thing like that again and it will be TV1 from now on

Post subject:  John Elliott on White Line Fever

Anyone else see Big Jack with Caro on Fox Footys White Line Fever.

A few things came out, including that when he left Carlton were in a good financial position. Caro constantly denied that.

Smorgan as President

He invited Smorgan junior into Carlton after the years of service of his father Sam. He didn't really know Smorgan junior that well, but it was out of respect for seniors contribution.

Didn't believe that Smorgan is the man for the job.

He made reference too Smorgan's business interest suffering from higher than normal industrial action, and that reflected on him.

On MC Labour Park (formerly Princes park / Optus oval)

- That in 3 years time the AFL could look at fixturing Carlton V interstate teams back at MC Labour Park. Caro denied that.

- The 1999 Prelim Final win was also a dark day for the Blues. It was the day Kennett was defeated in the State election, and that Kennett had earmarked a connection between the Tullamarine and Eastern freeways, which went hand in hand with the propsed underground car park at the ground.

- The legend stand was built on a promise by the AFL (Graeme Samuel at the time) that Waverley was being sold and that they needed a second venue. Half way through construction he was called by Samuel and told too cancel the construction.

Was his normal Big Jack self, my time was the most successfull, that it sickened him too see Campo in red and black, and that Hamill got paid in his first three years at the saints less than what Carlton were offering him.

Anyone else catch a glimpse and want too add.

This is absolutely true - Dockland/Colonial/TelstraDome was not even contemplated when construction of the Legends Stand was started - Graeme Samuel/Wayne Jackson completely rooted/backdoored Carlton on this one.

Unfortunately John Elliott spent the rest of his energy trying to get even with the AFL rather than getting Carlton back on top.

The rest of what Elliott was sprouting on about is complete garbage.

Apparently he was all they could come up with to replace Wallace.

Even Clinton G had to remind him it's MC Labour Park after he kept calling it Optus Oval.

At least one supporter rang in & had a go at him for leaving the club in a shambles.

They were saying that the AFL were split over giving the CEO job to Agro's mate the spew or Brian Cook but Ron Evans' casting vote got him over the line!
