Can you believe this fat turd? ![]() http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/st ... 70,00.html Quote: This week Brendan Fevola is cited for rough play for his attack on Brett Kirk and will miss just one match. Some might think it lunacy to suggest Pickett's attack on the player was six times more dangerous than the actions of Fevola.
There are reasons for the discrepancy. Schwab deemed Pickett's action intentional, Fevola's negligent. Under 2006 definitions, an intentional act is described as requiring deliberate desire to commit a reportable offence. The person must purposefully set out to achieve that result. Watch the replay of Fevola's run at Kirk and it is hard not to accept that some time before contact that Fevola was determined to act in the manner that he did. Intentionally. Certainly, his action fits oddly under the definition of negligent, which says such an act requires that a person must take reasonable care to avoid acts which can be reasonably foreseen to result in a reportable offence. Schwab's panel found him guilty of a reportable offence yet there is precious little evidence available to suggest Fevola took reasonable care to avoid his contact with Kirk. Grrrrr... I wonder if he hates his dog too? ![]() |

BB there is little point in expecting him to change. the world revolves around him, and his world revolves around his bias' and the bummers (who can do no wrong) - No heavy duty analysis of Essendon* poor form I notice. just another opportunity to kick us, which he can't let go. Spurious bile and vitriol are his specialities. No point in wasting good time, energy or thought on the fatprick. In fact, I've stopped reading him, and life seems so much calmer now.... |

Id actually find it pretty hard to hate that much. Usually if you are that much of a hater you also have some kind of a mental problem otherwise you run out of hater steam. |

Heard him on SEN this morning as well. Patrick: What's the difference between behind the play and in play? What's the difference between high and medium contact? Why the @#$%&! would Fevola avoid Kirk when he is trying to win the bloody ball you nothing. |

Fatprick is writing for the majority of AFL fans who do not like Carlton, just like the HUN. He has a prime target, he does not need to get off his fat arse to pontificate from afar, and he won't receive too much disapproval from his good mate Ron Evans if his article focuses on Carlton bashing. |

Just watching the footy show earlier ![]() Obviously the powers that be at MC Labour Park don't hold pat fat prick in the same dim light as most of us here at TC do as I am not impressed by his invitation. Just thought it was interesting that he was there and also that Graham arranged such a meeting |

Whether we like him or not, he is the Australian's chief football writer. You can hate him or dislike him all you like, but it doesn't mean you have to deliberately pour fuel into his vitriolic hellhole. Much better to make it harder for him to find the kind of fuel he wants to fan his fires of hatred. You just make sure he never gets any scoops. ![]() |

I was gobsmacked when I read that. Only Patrick could compare Byron Pickett's many transgressions with Fevola's crude tackle and have Byron come up smelling of roses. It's a bit like "Give us Barabbas" really..... |
