Just a quick look at tommorows list and I am impressed from the youth we have. 17 players are the age of 26 or younger in tommorows line up.
Here they are:-
BENTICK 20
BETTS 19
CARRAZZO 22
DELUCA 23
FISHER 22
HOULIHAN 24
MARC MURPHY 18
McCLAREN 23
SENTANTA 23
RUSSELL 19
SADDINGTON 26
SCOTLAND 25
SIMPSON 22
STEVENS 26
TEAGUE 25
THRONTON 22
WALKER 19

And to think we have:-
KENNEDY 19
BLACKWELL 20
WAITE 23
HARLTETT 20

to realistically come through very soon there are some exciting stuff coming through the ranks, just give them time and experience and nature will take it's course for CFC to win it's 17th premiership!P.S Hopefully next year we get a couple of superstars in the making so we can have that even balance spread across the field!

Yeh it's really good to see, a young exciting team, Houla seems as though he has been at Carlton for ages and he is only 24.

People have to understand it takes kids years to come through and play at a consistent level.Makes me think how much of a freak Marc Murphy is by already (I know it's early days yet) adadpting to AFL football and averaging mid teens in disposals. What I am impressed with is with his compusure under pressure. He is a making of a true champion.
If we have a good dip in next years draft we could see our squad being the next St kIlda with talent equal to (Fingers crossed)
RIEWOLDT (Kennedy)
DAL SANTO (Walker)
BALL (Murphy)
HAYES (Harlett)
KOSI (Pick up in the Draft next year)
It slowly coming along piece by piece!
And to think we were a whisker from getting WELLS(That's a crushing loss)
(b4 u guys are going to tell me get over it!!) IM TRYING!

HAYES (Harlett)

You mean Maguire, right?

Hayes is a midfielder; Hartlett is a key position defender.

Yeah we can throw a Maguie as being a superstar but Im trying to compare more to Star and Game breaking status and yes along with comparison in positions.(But I couldnt really find anyone for HAYES any suggestions?
Wasn't Hartlett originally a forward to start with in Junior days?

He has been at Carlton for ages. 7th year on the list. There's only about 4 players from our 2000 list still there in 2006:
Kouta
Fev
Hoops
Lance

I wonder what the numbers are for other teams... :?

Great to see so much youth in the side as well. Bodes well for the future. :-D

Wiggins

I think Wiggo deserves another crack. Some good hard body in their going hard. I know his skills are limited but we can use him as crash and bash mongrel in our team. he trainsd hard and works in his wekanesses so if anyone deserves a chance it is Wiggins!
