doc larkin mentioned that fisher came off complaining of a tight right hammy late in the game and had it worked on - anyone know anything about that?

Koutas lack of leadership tonight was a real low light.
Can someone make a tough decision and hand the captaincy to Stevens

Still allowing the opposition to setup a loose man in defence

Exhibit A: Danny Jacobs

Stevens is not the next captain of Carlton, too many soft touches early, seems to only get fired up when the game is out of our reach

One negative is that again we gave the opposition a start. It's the third week in a row now where we've been at least 3 goals down at quarter time (well 16 points tonight). We aren't good enough to do this and win games of footy.

Further, we seem to concede most of our goals early in quarters. We got the first goal tonight in the first quarter but other than that Hawthorn started the quarters better than we did and we sort of had to work our way into each period. Same thing happened against the Swans last week, from memory they kicked the bulk of the goals early on in the quarters and left us to play catch-up footy.

Just when we think we got one area under control, the next week delivers something else.

What do I mean - check my score more post as a start

The first few weeks our skill sets weren't too bad, and our aggression etc was ok.

But our skills were terrible, Pagan left Lance on Croad too long.

He should have been up forward at the start, and then move back if we were getting slaughtered as an option.

If we know that week in week out the skill level is reasonable, the 1 percenters are there, the decision making is ok, tactically we are matching up as well as can be, and making the interchanges too keep the boys fresh, then ok.

But after the last couple of weeks I thought our only issue tonight would have been our ability too convert when inside 50. But then other issues appeared.

Carrazzo missing 3 gettable goals, Walker missing from 15 meters out & Setanta missing a sitter. We should not be missing these goals - these were either set shots or open goals. Shouldn't happen at AFL standard.

Umpires not paying the free to Murphy in the 3rd quarter

THE NUMBER ONE NEGATIVE FOR ME:

I'M FED UP WITH OUR COACHING STAFF TAKING SO LONG TO GET TO THE 1/4 AND 3/4 HUDDLES - IT SENDS SUCH A BAD MESSAGE - DP IS THE WORST - PATHETIC!!!!!!!

I still can't believe we didn't play Longmuir ... on the psoitive side, TC won't be holding him personally responsible for this loss

I though the umpiring in the first quarter was a big negative, and contributed to our slow start.

I thought we had our chances in the 2nd and 3rd quarters and didn't take them. That was a negative.

I thought we stopped trying in the last quarter and that was negative.

Other than that, we just looked like a side without of FF and CHF. I wouldn't over analyse things this week. I hope the Hawks aren't patting themselves on the back too much cause it was a pretty piss poor effort from a full strength Hawks side all things considered.
