The interesting thing is that we played the same game plan against Melbourne. We missed Fev and Waite this time and played prob about 5% worse individually. After the Melbourne game everybody was going overboard and we were making the finals and Pagan was great and we had the right game plan.

Now everything is shit and the game plan is crap.

I thought people understood that we have improved and are at least comepetitive but that we have very little depth (i.e. can not afford to loose key players) and that a very young side like this will have its bad days.

The side is improving and has been in a positon to win in every game - so what is all the doom and gloom about? We need another 2-3 good players and an overall improvement of about 5-10% of the young players.

Probably at this stage we are where Hawthorn was 1-2 years ago. We are even playing a similar style (which is ugly but ensures that your side does not get smashed every week as this will have a very negative effect on the development of the kids)

So really not reason to panic...... biggest issue is really to address the off field issues without winning games - and I am not so sure the current board is able to do this (i.e. Smorgon saying that we just need to win some games and all will be fine).

Spot on Mikkey!!!

We are one draft behind the Hawks. That's 12 months of football. I don't want to go back to the old thrashing style of football. Did anyone see our kids when they walked off the ground last year? It shattered them. No point in sending them out to get burned at the steak week in week out. Confidence is where it is at for these kids. We're on the right path.... but people just need to have patience!

Sorry the AFL saw us coming in on that one and have removed the access to the PP that we so desparately need to improve our list - we are 2 drafts behind Hawthorn. :roll: :evil:
