I was thinking about beards of footy and life after having a look at Fisher's slightly manicured effort on Friday night. Who else had great beards:

Geelong (2006) - Corey, Bartel, Enright
Carlton (past) - Doull, Ashman, Klomp
Others (past) - Tuck?
Mowies - Hunter, Fitzpatrick, Cloke, Barassi, Matthews...

Who else is there?

Terry Wheeler had a pretty decent one at some stage didn't he?

And a bloke called Gary Baker always seemed to come up in the Scanlan's footy cards that no-one wanted - he had a decent one.

Prob one of the most famous bearded players never played AFL - Coburg's Phil Cleary.

And what about Brad Fisher - is that a beard he's got going on?

Lukey Blackwell and Marc Murphy... You reckon if we had a 'beard off' at our club liek Geelong had, that these two would be able to even grow a whisker! Just a passing observation for no reason in particular :-D

Brad Pearce had a decent goatee in 1995.

Jezza had a solid mo near the end of his career as well.

That'd be Carl Steinfort, Bananz.

Cant go past the great Bruce Doull - the greatest hirsute footballer ever to play the game.

There was a guy in the early 80s for us called Sharp - Graeme Sharp I think it was? No, it was Greg Sharp :-

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php?page=Greg+Sharp

Jimmy Buckley had a good beard for a season or so too... a mate and I put together a team of beards once I think... Jimmy Jess was another favourite beard...
