Another Article/Interview generously provided by Anthony De Bolfo to the Blueseum about a documentary being made about the O'hAilpin brothers.

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-read_artic ... rticleId=6

Patrick Comer is an Irish documentary filmmaker who has spent a number of weeks in Melbourne filming Carlton's O'hAilpin brothers, the Cork-based hurling players trying to eke out an existence with the 142 year-old football club reputedly founded by the Cork-born paradox and Ned Kelly's nemesis, Sir Redmond Barry ....

Yes, if you read the article it said it would be appearing in Ireland at around christmas.

Should give you plenty of time to book tickets. 8)

Read it as I was posting, spotted it further down

Hopefully it can appear on the ABC, I'm sure they'll be happy to screen it.

We will be seeing it sooner than that.

Pat showed up at Carlton training 1 week and got Italian Styles and myself on cam talking to the Irish boys.
He then got my phone number and joined us at the Round 1 game vs Melb, he did a quick 5 min interview, got my details and said he was going to send me a copy as soon as it was done.

AAHAHA yeh, THE SEXY SQUAD IS IN THIS DVD, funny stuff.

O'Hialpin boys are top guys off the field, they don't think they are any better than anyone and treat you as a mate. That Irish guy filming was a kool guy too, we were having a few kicks with him and it was funny to see him line up sideways to kick it like a snap shot, gotta love the Irish.

Is there any chance you can burn a copy and send it on to me when you get it, then I'll see it before it gets aired here, and send one on to the family

I sat next to Patrick at the Blues v Port practice game. At the start of the game he was set up right next to the Port coaching box. As Choco and his crew were walking up to the box, Choco stopped and said to Patrick "what do you think you're doing mate?" and then turned to his staff and said "is this allowed?", when Patrick explained what he was doing a doc on Setanta Choco was ok about it. But gee the coaches these days are paranoid!!
