Denis better be sharpening the axe as we speak. Our midfield was a disgrace, the lack of accountability and pressure is just not accepted no more so i say Denis its time to bring out the axe and send Stevens, Houla and Skinny to the twos making them realise aslong as they play like that they will be playing in Preston. I am sick of the weak performances by some and to have Stevens, Scottland and Houla top 5 in the league for clangers made by foot is just not on |

true but they must be made an example of as its just not accepted. The guys from Triple M said that Stevens had a few words with several players |

What I would love to know is how any of you know what happened... the game was not live into anywhere on TV. I've sat down and watched the miserable patches and can see the game for what it is: a more disciplined, creative and physically matured team with good foot skills taking on a side that has none of these things. Fortunately, these are things which can be worked on. That's the second time I've said roughly the same thing in a thread. |

The guy who should be playing for the Ants next week is Kouta. Apathy beyond comprehension. Install Whitnall as captain immediately - he is the captain anyway out on the field!!! |

The axe should come out but the club should look to the future as well. Out Saddington,Betts,Wiggins. In Blackwell,O'Hailpin and whoever. You cant make 18 changes. The second half was shit and best players are only second stringers at other clubs. The tendency is to target the so called named players Stevens,Houli etc.We didnt lose it in defence but around the packs where we were as soft as diluted marsh mellow.Bentick should not of played. Obviously unfit with shoulder problems and his abscence was huge .We need tougher players in close. With Adam out we got smashed. Its easy to criticise Stevens,Houlihan ,but the fact is they are outside players. That is why I have been advocating Blackwell's debut for weeks. With 33 possessions this week I would be extremley disappointed if he didnt make his debut against the scum.Wiggins was probably not the worst but he isnt the future. permanent Bullant please. Hopefully it is Kouta's last year and he wont play next year and they make Lance captain.Betts needs to go back to the twos to get his hands on the footy.Keep Murphy in the team but if he has a bad one drop him back to the twos for the same reason as Betts. To get his hands on the footy. The selection committee need to try as many players as possible within reason this year to sort out who is delisted.I would like to see O'HailpinA and Batson given a go in the Bullants ones to speed through their possible development. The 12 10 rule is a wank. The most disappointing part of todays game was there was nobody capable of standing up to the onslaught. The senior players are incapable of it so the transition period will be long.JUST KEEP THE FAITH SUPPORTETS.We have some good kids and will obviously pick up some good ones in the future with the super draft ,but other than Whitnall are senior players were ordinary and when that happens against a side high on confidence you are going to get pumped. |

Prenda, Sporn and Longmuir killed it in the twos yesterday so i think they will be our inclusions next week. Wiggins was far from our worst player this week he chased, got the ball and tackled. There are other players before him that need to be dropped. |

I think Pagan should do some harsh moves on experienced under-performing prima-donna. It never stopped Sheedy, so I don't see why we should have such a hand-holding policy here. If Stevo, Houla or Scotland need the axe, then they should get it. |

I second that Fabulous, i actually thought Wiggo was one of our shining lights today. Tried his guts out and at least he has some pace |

But truely if the axe is to come out then it must be our senior players, not our kids. On the basis of today all of: 1.stevens 2.scotland 3.Kouta 4.houlihan 5.thornton 6.simpson need to be dropped. All had good first halves and then they went missing! Now that ain't going to happen. We need a new coach who will find out who wants to play, and who doesn't. Someone who will take risks and inspire the boys. Nothing inspirational going round at the momonet. After what i saw today, we will win the spoon no matter who is at the helm. |

If Stevo, Houla or Scotland need the axe, then they should get it. I second this, but feel you're naming the wrong players. ![]() |

Bag as many players as you want Vet but Thornton was one of our best today. He limited Tarrant to great effect and covered for a few others. Midfield is a hard one to work out because we were crunched there the whole second half but Whitnall, Thornton and Walker were easily our best. |

Midfield is a hard one to work out because we were crunched there the whole second half but Whitnall, Thornton and Walker were easily our best. as a former bakman, I undertsand the difficulties of playing in a backline where the ball keeps coming at you at a rate of knots. I also have been one of Thornton's supporters. But today, although Tarrant was quiet, I felt his disposal when he got it was poor, and his decision making was uncertain. I wouldn't have put him in our best. I'm not meaning to 'bag' anyone (although the consequences are what they are), I simply mean that whenthe game needed to won, the listed Players did not stand up. |

I'd give Bentick a chance to rack up some touches and confidence with the Bullants next weekend. Replace him with Blackwell, if only for a few weeks - nothing lost there, really, as Bentick is struggling with his best feature at present: his ability to win clearances. Let him get a feel for it again at the lower level, in a winning environment. Wiggins to retain his spot - one terrible clanger aside, he was quite good, and definitely deserves another chance. One of the few that appeared to still be busting a gut as the game unravelled. |
