In a shallow draft, I'd say the difference between pick 1 and pick 4 could be a lot more than marginal.

I am not saying the difference between picks 1 and 4.

The difference between picks 3 and 4 is marginal, if one more team gets a PP.

The worst thing is, if they had won today, we could have beaten them next week and all would be right in the world....

i think it's better to see the Pies getting picks 5 and 21 than picks 3 and 6

I dont see why it matters.. we are still going to get it pretty good.
No point whinging about it. And I doubt 90% of collingwood fans would like the fact that they were infront and then lost it in the last 2-4 minutes of the game, by a goal... I know as a Carlton supporter in that position I would be pretty pissed off and embarassed... who gives a shit about Collingwood!?

OK fair enough Jar.

But ANYTHING that Collingwood gets is a BAD thing. And right now, they're playing for next season, otherwise they wouldn't have rested Tarrant. And they WANT that PP soooo bad.

Therefore, I don't want them to have it.

Primal, tribal hatred hasn't been lost. It's just manifesting itself in a different way.

Where oh where has football gone, oh where oh where can it beeee?

Blues vs Pies. BLUES vs PIES...and we are bound to wish for a loss because good players are bound to underperforming sides? Joffa better have his gold jacket out next week because it's the game of the golden spoon.

I'm resigned to the fact of what is required in order to build a club back to the top of the ladder...but...@#$%&!.

No, that's shifting an ejaculation for multiple ejaculation. A priority ejaculation nonetheless.

You know what, people are probably saying the exact same thing about us 'We are playing for next season, we are losing on purpose'

What's with the eye-rolls? Of course Collingwood's playing for next season. You don't think if they were genuinely pulling out all stops to finish as high up the ladder as possible they would have let Tarrant have the rest of the season off do you?

It makes perfect sense, and it's the way the system operates these days. Nothing sinister or conspiratorial about it.

The AFL rested Tarrant for them didn't they? They even tried to make it easy by starting at 5 weeks and the dumb pricks appealed it back to 1.

:?
So why whinge about what Collingwood are doing!?
Just relax... our seasons are over... who knows what sort of players they are going to get or for that matter, who we will get. Or how long it will take them to be playing at the top level.
I believe we are ahead of Collingwood in the 'young players' department, another full pre-season... we dont know what is going ot happen... and you can't change anything, so really... get over it.

Why whinge about Collingwood??

Because that's what we do.

Carlton v Collingwood. The old rivalry. We hate them, they hate us. It's pure, simple, unadulterated.

And it's what I like to do.

So I'll continue on my merry way, begrudging the black and white's ANYTHING that may come their way. They want a PP - well, I hope to hell they don't get it. Let them finish in nowhere's-ville with pick 5, no finals and a big fat coaching shitfight at the end of the season.

When I grew up, hating collingwood and richmond was pretty much akin to loving Carlton. It comes with the territory.

You think I enjoyed seeing that smug prick Terry Wallace call out Delidio's name at last year's draft? No - I hated it!!!

Hate's good on a cold winter's day. But I'm about to put a nice homemade pizza in a very hot oven, and crack a decent oldish red. So come 6pm there'll be no room for hate at Chez JohnM :)

How can you hope Collingwood win? Honestly. I hope they lose every game and if it just so happens they finish on 5 wins then who gives a flying @#$%&!?! People are obsessed with the theory that ONE 18 YEAR OLD will suddenly turn them around, get over yourselves, you're all obsessive and you're all talking shit!!

I was disappointed but I was happy to hear Collingwood lost. That's right. HAPPY TO SEE COLLINGWOOD LOST. I HOPE THEY LOSE EVERY WEEK no matter where they are on the ladder, no matter what's on the line etc. Some of you are unbelievable.

What a club, only if we could have their spirit, always get knocked by the media with their list as wooden spooners,or average, but always play finals because their players give 100% most of the time. If there is any club to model on they are it.
