What's with the eye-rolls? Of course Collingwood's playing for next season. You don't think if they were genuinely pulling out all stops to finish as high up the ladder as possible they would have let Tarrant have the rest of the season off do you?

It makes perfect sense, and it's the way the system operates these days. Nothing sinister or conspiratorial about it.

Isn't Tarrant injured or not 100% right, why wouldn't you get him up for next year and fix him up, we should rest Fevola if he needs to go under the knife also.

Coliingwood lost the game because the roos never give up attitude.

one 18 year-old will make a difference...
imagine stkilda without riewoldt....or without lukey ball...
imagine westcoast without judd...
imagine hawthorn without hodge....

the thing its not just one 18 yearold...its another pick inside the top 6 instead of a pick in the 60's...(because you get 5 picks in the draft, so if we miss the pp our picks will be something like 3-5, 21, 37, 52, and 67 instead of
1 or 2, 3 or 4....19 or 20, 35 or 36, and 50 or 51....

I was disappointed but I was happy to hear Collingwood lost. That's right. HAPPY TO SEE COLLINGWOOD LOST. I HOPE THEY LOSE EVERY WEEK no matter where they are on the ladder, no matter what's on the line etc. Some of you are unbelievable.

I call it frustrated.

Rambo, about half of all AFL players (by their own admission) are carrying an injury at this stage of the season. The fact is, if collingwood were 6th on the ladder, Tarrant would be having the operation at the end of the season. They've written off this year, and rightly so.

I don't disagree with this policy, and I think we should employ it for Fev if he's playing injured. But the message it sends to the rest of the list would be pretty bloody clear: it doesn't REALLY matter if we don't win this week, because as a club we're already focusing on 2006.

Wakelin threw a punch at Fev and Fev went to ground. Anyone know if he was reported? Also once the 2 went to ground it looked like Wakelin was eye gouging Fev.

We are seeing the bigger picture.

That's the difference.

Stick your "bigger picture" pj. Load of rubbish. You're just plain worried that Collingwood will get another pick. You're shitting yourself like many others on here but won't admit it. You actually worry about what picks COLLINGWOOD will have in the draft?!?! It's amazing?!!? What difference does it make for you. Are you worried that the man they get if they get the Priority Pick is going to be the panacea for the club. You're obsessed pj but reading these posts you're not alone.

I hope we smash Collingwood on Sat night. I still remember that gold jacket, spoon waving game from 02' and I didn't appreciate filth supporters waving spoons in my face. We must beat the filth.

So we're looking at the short term are we?

As you would say, "load of rubbish".

What do Carlton supporters have to do with draft picks? We have no control over who we pick up anyway, our job at the club is to support the team.

Haven't read anything but this page, but I'm @#$%&! sick of reading Blues2005 ranting about this. Don't give a SHIT what you think to be blunt. I was shattered when the Kangaroos got that last goal, and I don't give a crap what you think about that

"Long-term pj". How long, 17 years down the track? 23? 64? You know there is a long-term and a short term. We can win games in both terms and still end up with talented youngsters you know. In fact in this "short term" we'll add at least one top 5 pick this season.

But you're scared pj. In fact you're petrified. And so is anyone else hoping that Collingwood wins just so they can miss one 18 year old kid (who won't even be MURPHY :o ) in the draft. Yeah he'll turn that club around. You are scared and also obsessed with the fortunes of Collingwood footy club.

Not at all and you are a fool for thinking that.

I'm only concerned about Collingwood when we play them.
And funnily enough that is next Saturday night.

And you know, Blues2005, I hope we lose to them.

There I said it.

Harass me all you want with your emoticons and your short term crap.
But I hope we LOSE to COLLINGWOOD next Saturday night.

REALLY pj I'd never have guessed! :o

You're not worried and scared of Collingwood but you actively hope that they win games so as to avoid the PP, thereby being 'concerned' about Collingwood's fortunes. Or am I wrong and that you want Collingwood to lose games?!?

No true Carlton supporter would hope to lose to Collingwood.

As I said, to a degree I am concerned with their fortunes.
