its The Shag...

what i am trying to say is that when our future stars are winning us games...you can look back and think "wow, they were right...season '05 was worth the short term pain for long term gain"....
however...seeing as you are against the idea...you have no right to support the players....its like spending money you know is stolen...

when our crop of talent from this year is winning us games you have absolutely no right to be a carlton supporter....

Just like you have no right to call yourself a supporter now

While I don't agree with what the Shag said, what right does anyone have to tell someone that they aren't a supporter because of their opinion?

Are we living in some dictatorship world where we are labelled an outcast if we disagree with someone's opinion?

This is not about yours or my opinion PJ.

When Carlton went out on to the ground today you were hoping they'd lose....by its very definition that means you are not supporting them.

Fev's punch wasn't a jumper punch, it was a straight out punch. And Wakelin came back with a better one.

How about the gouge on Fev's face?

Fox Footy showed clear vision of someone, possibly Wakelin, gouging his face.

Deano, I apologise if you are disappointed in me, but I'm sticking to my opinion. I was brought up on that if you strongly believe in something, then you shouldn't let anyone sway your opinion.
Nothing has changed.

As I have said before, once this system is changed, we can rid oruselves of these thoughts and get back to what it is all about - winning for the sake of winning.

I know exactly what you're trying to say Shag but be honest with yourself you're talking crap.

Pretty sure he had a hold of Wakelin's jumper shoulder when he hit him. Anyway, I guess that's irrelevant. I think he will go for one or two. Ironic that his second suspension for the year will come as a result of someone eye-gouging him!

Everyone is a supporter, we just have differnet opinions because of an erroneous draft system.

Except that now its a 'system' thats changing your opinion...but thats ok, because we can blame 'the system'.

btw, there's nothing wrong with changing your opinion if someone enlightens you....that insight has nothing to do with your opinion on this matter.

I respect your opinion PJ, I just find it disappointing.

I'm not having a dip at you, but my heart hurts every time I see Carlton take a loss. When my brethren enjoy what makes me hurt, it confuses me.

I wish this would all stop so we can be Carlton again.

Not at all.
Why do people feel they have to think for me and tell me what I'm thinking.
I tipped Port during the week because I thought they were the better team on paper.
However, despite tipping them, I wanted to see us give them a run for their money.
Turn out we did, but we fell short at the end.
Granted I only saw the first half as I had a prior committment to attend to.

In short, I wanted us to put in an effort, but wasn't too concerned if we were to lose.

by winning any more games for the rest of this season, Carlton is signing itself to at least 2-3 more years of losing winnable games and being beaten by poor oppositions....

2-3 more years, or 2-3 more weeks...thats the way i see it...

Divide and conquer folks.

The AFL is turning us into a rabble, forcing us to prostitute ourselves at the shrine of the draft.

Demetriuo and Evans and co will be guffawing over their Shirley Temples tonight.....

i want to see carlton winning for a few years at a time...you are supporting a short and ultimately rocky road that could lead us anywhere...

Bit slow Deano, I gave up 2 post ago....at least PJ understands the benefits won't occur in the next 2-3 years

Of course they won't.
We are now only seeing what Simmo can do and the great thing is that he is going to get better and better and better as the seasons go by.
Same deal with Waite.
I'd imagine the same thing will happen with Little Blackers.

read over my posts and tell me when i ever said they will impact imediately....
i said...if we miss out on the talent this year we will suffer another 2-3 years of being beaten by very poor sides....
i never said they would help us win immediately...so dont try and put words in my mouth...
