Blah blah blah, yadee yadee yahaa...

What a crock all this crap is. It could be argued that Phillip Matera is better than all of the above given his size.

Give me this.

Give me that.

Give me some steroids!

Hird would be the best ever. Actually Voss would be. No wait, Carey! Or...I would be.

It's all rather futile.

Carey was, I believe, coaching us this year...in some capacity...I do believe...and???

Voss also may be one day. And???

Everyone has differing opinions of player's abilities...at the end of the day if Voss did this, Carey did that and Hird did the other...it means little. Some people are going to be in one camp, some the other. No-one's right, no-one's wrong. Some watch Buckley closer than I do. Most don't.

What someone did on the footy field translates little to the coaching arena. There is much more to consider than that.

True.

There are only 3 genuine champion players currently coaching by my reckoning.

Lethal, Paul Roos, and Grant Thomas.

I've seen Thomas on Footy Flashback. An underrated genius.

As far as Voss goes, he was a great player in a great side, but over and above that he is a great leader of his team...better than Carey ever was at North.

Tim Watson...gun player, shit coach.

Flip side of that is...

Denis Pagan...so-so player from what we can all tell, gun coach.

Wallace was a pretty genuine gun in his heyday. He tapered off later in his career. Not quite Hird/Voss class, but he played in the Brisbane Lions of his day when a lot of players really stood out.

And he was reasonably tough for a pretty-boy.
