Dane, Waiting to see what will happen after the draft will not Solve anything. If the Club are going to re-sign players are are way past it, it means they are going to hold a Spot that would be going to some new blood and new kids.

Come Draft day, the Club will select their 1st and 2nd round Picks, then forfeit all their later picks. We don't want that. We need a friggin Smart Recruiting manager who will find some decent kids for us at picks 50 and after. All other clubs do it, except us.

This is not a matter of Whingging. Its's about managing the Club properly. We pay for these people to do what they do. If the Club do not take their members seriously and do not hear out their concerns, then they will stop signing up for memberships and those that do sign, will not turn up to Games.

I have not had a membership for 3 years now and will never give a penny to this Club, until the day I see some real changes and real leadership.

What if we were to hire a bear as our ruck coach? Would you be willing to fork over cash then?

Mind your own business. This is why people lock you in things and steal your lunch money.

From afar, the educated money is on there being more than one person responsible for you playing with your dinosaurs by yourself each lunchtime...

You'd probably be the one sucking up to 'teach' then misbehave when he/she wasn't looking.

I'm still trying to work out a pattern to when he uses CAPS in the middle of a sentence.

So we could finish bottom and Waite play around 14 games and will be given another year as we rebuild. All this on the back on one month of good football at the age of 31.

Seriously will we ever learn. Managers must enjoy negotiating with McKay. :?

Article also says Garlett & Robinson are on the trade table but will only be traded for fair value. In other words not given away for peanuts. Every chance of staying.

..maybe, but we have been trying to cultivate a fair business style at the trade table.. ..maybe we'll be quite fair when it comes to offers.. ..maybe it's our way of saying open to offers, be sensible and we'll get it done..

Our window is open - we must get Ryan O'Keefe. A three-year deal should do it.

..i would sign Waite up, and then when freo crumble in the finals, we know exactly what Rossy will do.. ..and that's panic, and offload a first rounder for 'the missing piece'.. ..that piece can be Waite.. ..nice open home ground will suit his style, and they can rest him from the travel.. ..we'll offer to pay a good chunk of his wage for a couple of years, so they get him for cheap $$.. ..we get their first rounder, waite gets two years on good coin [some from us, some from them] and a chance at a flag.. ..win/win, Rossy style..

DB on the Footy Show just mentioned Waite and Casboult. He said that Carlton is getting nervous that we may lose Waite and North are favourites unless we up of offer which we have just done. Also said that Casboult and the club are miles apart in terms of financial numbers.
So we may go from having a poor forward line to a non existent one.
I hope the club know what they are doing.

We'd be stupid to offer Levi or Waite too much/long

..currently neither are integral to our forward structures.. ..i'd rather lose them for little than keep them on overs..

The fact that Ellard is still on the list is so surprising. He definitely does not have the right body shape to be an AFL footballer, and I can't believe no one at the club has picked up on that. His wrists (eg) look like they could break in a stiff wind - That's why he can't stick a tackle.

Needs to wank more

 unlike Essendon* players

Agreed. Waite's management is holding Carlton to ransom...hopefully both boys leave.
