We are just so fortunate. I mean, clearly if Psych says otherwise to people who work at Carlton, Psych is right.

What's even more amazing that the same people are so critical or don't believe what I write actually bother with reading it. Take it for what it's worth and move on. Time will tell if I'm right or not.

If I'm not you will criticise me beyond belief and if I'm right you'll ignore it. Not that hard.

Whatever happens this draft/trade period I just hope we dont get screwed over again.
I am sick of seeing ex Carlton players playing well for their new clubs.
I am sick of us being on the wrong end of trades, pick 46 for Jones and we lost Garlett for pick 61. What were we thinking?
Lets hope SOS is the right man for the job or else we have many more years of pain ahead.

whiley, jones and tutt already exceed our maximum spud requirement.

One problem is that we are recruiting a guy who is doing to Brisbane what Eddie, Jeffy (and now it appears Hendo and Yarran) did to us.

Did any of the Hawks targets from other clubs play shit, safe footy before they left?

Not sure about safe footy, but Lake had seemingly checked out and Gunston and O'Rourke were two that couldn't get games at lower clubs yet we're still recruited.

Yeah, maybe. .

Seems a shit tactic to me if that is what he's doing.

Of course, he might just not be very good, it's a bad environment or he doesn't like Brisbane.

Really????
That's not what he is saying.
Won't be at the scum and has told everyone close to him that we are his No1 Choice...

We may well be his first choice but there are two major issues. WADA and the fact that Essendon** won't deal with us. I'm also convinced we aren't interested.

Won't deal with us for Carlisle or in general? If in general, what's the background to that?

Heard of the Pre Season Draft ??????
We don't need to deal with them so stop worrying about that.
As for WADA, well we all know that they will get off.

I hope we don't get Carlisle either way, not interested in that. Just why Essendon* won't deal with us.

I watched the Hawks last night, they are an amazing team, reminds me of the carlton team of 1995.
It is going to take carlton at least 5 years to become a reasonable team.
It is very difficult to build a great team with just draft picks.

Carlisle is a more than handy defender. Take the WADA issue away and he is a quality acquisition.

Sometimes you need to look past a jumper and see the player. I can't stand Essendon* like the rest of us but if a player wants to be a Bluebagger then that's a redeeming characteristic any day.

And your prepared to have him sitting on our list doing nothing til he's eligible to play in 2018.

Issue is how it impacts our TPP/shape of list.

To lure him across, we're probably paying more for him than it would to retain Henderson, despite there being minimal difference in ability. Looking at the rest of the KPPs, Jamison with two years to go, Rowe and Casboult have another year and minimal trade value. Then there's likely 2 more KPPs coming in with Weitering/Schache and Silvagni. On top of Jaksch who we want to invest time into, Giles and Foster are unknowns, and waste of space Jones. Way too lopsided a list.

I'm going to Poof Doof that night. Going there would be getting involved in the LGBT East Side/West Side rivalry.

Given how close it is to Etihad Stadium, we should have a TC predrinks there one night. Cheap beers and free popcorn for all. And giant sausages that are pretty good value for money..

We're looking at 1.2 mill freed up before trades (assuming Walker doesn't retire), and Hendo would probably eat into the cap inflation to pay for his new contract.

I doubt Kreuzer's going to get much of a wage bump, nor Armfield or Curnow, so there's still close to $1 million free when all's said and done. I'd imagine the estimates for the draftees would be max $90k on average.
