Thanks for #£€¥ing off Hendi, why don't you take the other soft #€+ks Menzel & Yarran with you , you guys are weak and one of the main reasons our proud club has lost respect and it's competitive edge
Carlton will always be bigger than you girls, you will regret yor selfishness one day!!!

Henderson, see yah.

I prefer to remember the courageous mark he took in the last qtr against Richmond in the elimination final...

Lachy gets told at the start of the season he's going to be traded, and is naturally upset because he wants to stay. And according to this board he's a sook.

I really hope he plays blindingly well for whoever he lands at. The squealing on this board will be a delight to witness.

Said it better than I could.

Will be thrilled to see him back at his best in defence for a competent club with a healthy environment.

Go well Lach!

Yep! I suspect he'll be an all Australian defender...

There is going to be a mass exodus of players from Carlton by the look of it. A levee bank is used to stop a flood, so too priority picks can stop a flood of lack of confidence within the walls of Carlton.

The AFL should stop pretending they are concerned with equity and actually do something to write the wrongs of the last 15 years.
Provide some priority picks. Even if the picks are in the 20s in the draft. It is better than nothing. Get it done.

Thank flower for that, the sooner the better!!! @#$%&! the cowards off.

Yep that 2013 Elimination Final.

We'll have turned over nearly 12 players from that dynastorial side, by the time this trade period has finished.

Bloody pissed weak~
Got dropped so he decided not to play any reserve games at all.
Doesn't deserve a thread like this, no need to thank him, he's a nobody.

Let's see how many games he gets at another club.

The big mistake we made is he is very talented CHB and should of been left in that position to play great footy, he is a solid CHF if in a good team. Doesn't have the size or speed to play CHF in a weak side.

I think we should of played in CHB all year and I suspect he would of had a good season and stayed. I am confident the cats will slot him in at CHB and he will play very well.

We have mis managed him similar to Essendon** with Jake C.

Definitely a case of could of, would of, should of.

Em has been pretty consistent that Hendo was told by the club early in the season something to the effect of we will trade you if we get the right offer.

That may well be right, but what we don't know is the context in which that was apparently said to him....

Scenerio 1 - Hendo says to the club "I don't want to be around for a 3-5 year rebuild, I want to play finals and have success before it's too late". CFC says "sorry you feel that way, but we are committed to a patient rebuild, if you don't want to be part of that and come with us on the journey, we will trade you if we get the right offer to the club of your choice".

Scenerio 2 - CFC says to Hendo "we reckon about $400k a year is fair for your next contract". Hendo says "$600k or GAGF". CFC says "we won't be paying that, if you want $600k, we will trade you if we get the right offer to a club willing to meet your pay expectations".

Scenerio 3 - Hendo is happy to stay at the club for less money than he would get elsewhere and is excited by the challenge of being part of the leadership group of a team likely to be bottom 4 until 2019. But CFC thinks it is spoilt for choice with KP talent and tells Hendo he's not much chop and we will trade you if we get the right offer two rounds into the season.

I think Scenerio 3 is very unlikely.

My money is on Scenerio 1 being closest to the mark.

Take your bat and ball and piss off.
I've been posting for weeks that he was playing to not get injured and it looks as though that's the case.

We hold the whip hand and we should play hard. If we can't get a decent deal, then he sits out of the game for a year with no pay. HE apparently told the group he wanted out so he has effectively walked out of his job. We have no obligation to pay him.

I have no sympathy for him. I think I am pretty safe in saying most of us here would have played for nothing. I would have.

I am excited by all this, it is about time our administration take back control of the list from players who have ransomed the club for pay deals that are way overs.

My bet is Hendo felt that once he was in the leadership group that he should be paid accordingly and wasn't happy when the club offered a pay deal based on output.

Lets hope that we get thing right, the Doggies sacked their coach, had an exodus of players including their captain and yet this galvanised the club and look where they are at today. Granted our list is not good enough to make that kind of transformation, however playing as a team with passion will be a good start.

What are we thanking him for, taking our money for 6 years when we gave him an opportunity and then bailing when things got tough? He is in the leadership group. This is insipid cowardice. We need players who want to lead the club to success and don't want to land somewhere where it is easy. I am very disappointed in him. He could have been an AA chb for us but he turned his back when we really needed him. I hope Geelong plummet and that we win a flag before he retires. That gives us 6 years. First rounder for us or he can go in the PSD and see how much he likes living in Brisbane.

Gee Lachie, the more you speak the less respect I have for you. Was told many years ago that " if you don't like your current job, performing badly at it is not the path to getting a better one". Sod off. Well done Blues on telling the sook to pack up his locker.

I hope sos has got this right. I have no doubt that sos is behind this.
On the one hand , i admire decisiveness and forth-righteousness. I think thats what we are getting from sos.
On the other hand, i wonder whether sos has the runs on the board , to demand such confidence in his abilities. Merely being a great player and part of our golden era doesn't an astute judge necessarily make.
We are all being asked to put our faith in sos's insights, but at the end of the day he is not god , and just as prone to errors as the next person.
