not really jezz ... more than a few clubs have been monitoring the carlton meltdown and looking at players who they might pick up from the sinking ship. top of the list midyear was kreuzer, and if he got through the year unscathed and healthy and put a few good games together they'd be there to offer him money.

bulldogs just make the most sense. a young list on a really steep rise and void of all ruckmen.

Meltdown? I don't see any meltdown, just due process in taking us forward.

no, be sure it's been viewed by the other clubs as a meltdown. no one expected us to 1-8 and with malthouse sacked. the sharks have been circling ever since.

The only player we are losing to sharks potentially is Kreuzer. The rest are meh.

Kreuzer owes Carlton a bit- on the field. I suspect he will know this.

Actually - let me rephrase this, as the to trade/not to trade idiom is irrelevant in this case.

Kreuzer does not have to be traded. We could lose him even if we wanted to keep him.

Kreuzer is a free agent.

If Kreuzer finds a deal that suits him better, why should Surrey take his crayons, shove them in his eardrums and wail the theme to MASH over it?

Yep, righto.

The very culture of the club is on the line over whether we keep a free agent against their will.
The very culture of the club that you three mouthbreathers consistently claim on here is either dead, dying or non-existent.

Didn't Hawks supporters say the same thing about the Croad deal? That Luke Hodge sure killed the culture of Hawthorn..

You don't trade a pick 1 for pick 3.

We should be trading pick 13 for pick 3. Cripps for pick 3 - #winning

SOS would find it near on impossible match an offer to Kreuz that would get us band 1 compo. Whether Kreuz wants to leave or not.

I suppose the other issue out of it, is the ruck situation that ensues from it.

Be fairly likely Warnock somehow worms his way into another year on the list, or at the very least we pay overs for an unproven ruck or equally Warnock-shit ruck elsewhere (Zac Smith, Gorringe, Bellchambers). The best replacement possible would probably be Leunenberger, and getting him on board would leave us with 3 and 4 rather than 2/3.

And he'd be right, would clearly highlight a man with a plan.

As bad as this season has been on field, off field so far has been a massive highlight. Just so different from the historical Mundane short cuts this club has done forever. We used to get away with it, we now have people that want to bring us into the 21st century.

Just so refreshing

Kruzer is very unlikely to stay... his tone and body language all hinted that he wants Out!!

When you think about it, its just fantastic news....If you are going to rebuild a club from scratch, you need to clean out those players who have some sort of value in the market..

Kruzer is one of them. Don't be fooled by the Super performance he has put up on the weekend. It is very rare that he can maintain it. He is 26 and just injury Prone. He is a liability more than anything for the Blues. Trade him and get something in return for him!!

Regardless of the Kruzer situation, both Warnock and Wood have to be moved on. They have no Value at all, so better de-list them and find something else!

Not sure Croad was ever considered as important to a club and its supporters as Krooz.

I can't see SOS being able to resist pick 3 for him unfortunately .

Maybe we can let Kruezer go for 3 years and bring him back for nothing when we make the finals?

More likely pick Daniel Elstone with pick 3
;)

Letting Kreuzer walk and replacing him with a free agent ruck defeats the purpose of letting Kreuzer walk in the first place. The compensation for Kreuzer would be significantly downgraded due to the incoming free agent.

Any replacement ruck would have to be a trade or draft player. My guess would be a Cam Wood type, mature rookie player.

THIS!!!!!!!

Bloody hell. It wasn't so long ago that I sat in disgust at Carlton fans cheering on Melbourne so that we could win the Kreuzer Cup!!!! Now we wanna trade him for another draft pick???

Bloody madness I tell you.

It's called time.....that was 7 years ago and we sit almost last. It's a re-build I tells you
