Notes:
> Paying Jones out will take some good management of our TPP by SOS, Macca & Trigg - but they just have to do it. We can't allow Jones to take up a spot on our list any longer. There would also be strong symbolism for the new regime in cutting him now. I can't recall ever being so sure that we needed to delist a player after one season.
> I agonised over whether to delist Watson or White. Watson has more upside potential, but he is a low percentage option, IMO. White gives our list a bit more versatility and he has leadership attributes and is a good clubman. We'll need some guys like that around next year.
> I would keep Armfield and Tutt for another year, mainly because we are so desperate for run.
> Warnock vs Wood? I've gone for Wood because he seems more durable and combative. Warnock is more likely to influence a game with his ruck work when in form, but he struggles to get on the park. Both might stay on our list if we can't land Lobbe and lose Kreuzer. Otherwise, Lobbe will be our #1 ruckman, Wood will be the back up, with Casboult/Rowe pinch hitting and Korcheck developing in the VFL.
> If Kreuzer stays (which I still hope happens), obviously we don't get #2 and we use #21 on the best available kid instead of trading it for Lobbe.
> I'm backing us to convince Bell to stay because I think he is worth more to us than we would get in a trade for him. I can't see Brisbane agreeing to a straight swap for Aish or Green. Bell has his deficiencies but he provides a point of difference and I want to keep him.
> Will pick #49 be enough to secure Rice, assuming he chooses us? That's a 3rd rounder.
Cheers, ABNS
