This fixture is ridiculous. Talk about getting poorly treated. We play all the top teams in consecutive weeks. All flower 17 of them.

AFL. Always looking after their pet teams. We have to play top teams every week next year and the AFL pets Norf only have to play 5 games against teams above them. Just bias to the extreme.

And looking at it further - not content with gifting Hawthorn three premierships with something something Tasmania, now they've proceeded to give them the easiest draw out of any club - only playing teams below them on the ladder for the entire season.

I'm getting Tap and Surrey on the case.

It's the channel that produces the match, so yes Vic schedule will match that. In the other states I think Ch7 takes the Fox broadcast of their local teams

No, Morangate was 2008.

2010 was the last one. White's first game and Yarran, Garlett and Hoops electric up forward.

I was there for that one. Great game by the smaller forwards. Houla and Yaz were exceptionally good.

Hope the club kept a copy of this email they sent to all SA members this time last year. That way all there is to do is change the dates....

Dear '74

Firstly, I’d like to thank you for your continued support of Carlton Football Club.

As an interstate member I appreciate sometimes it can be challenging to get to games in Melbourne, and disappointing when the AFL doesn’t fixture any games in your state. Carlton has played a ‘home’ game in Adelaide every season since 1996, which was the last time the Blues weren’t fixtured a game in your state.

The Blues love playing in Adelaide, and have a proud and rich history of South Australian born players pulling on the Navy Blue, and making it their own. I think it’s important for our members to know we are also disappointed in not coming to Adelaide in 2015, and look forward to working with the AFL on the 2016 fixture.

With that disappointment close at mind, the support of our interstate members is still extremely important to the Club so we hope to keep you on board in 2015.

Today on the website Trigg, has addressed the issue:

For the second year in a row Carlton will not make the trip to Adelaide, which Trigg says is “extremely disappointing”.

“Our South Australian members and supporters are very important to us and we have expressed our frustration to the AFL that once again we will not be travelling to Adelaide. We certainly asked for a game is South Australia.

“We have already engaged our South Australian members this morning via email to let them know we’ll deliver an activation in Adelaide during the season.”

I have no idea what "delivering an activation" means as I let my membership lapse last year for a number of reasons, so haven't received it. If anyone has a copy could they please post it here, as I'd like to see what 'explanation; they gave this time.

I know there are a number of factors that need to be taken into account when fixturing, but how hard can it be? Last year their were two Perth games, this year 1x as well as 2 in NSW, 1 in TAS and 2 in QLD. Take one off, and add one to us. Easy. In fact we haven't had the 'double' since 2010.

It makes no sense that 12 months ago they claimed they will "work with AFL about fixing this", yet now despite apparently asking, couldn't get it through as it's hardly a request that is logistically difficult to organise, give us an unfair advantage over other sides, or would make an already uneven draw any more lopsided?....

Remember that email I posted above wasn't a response to anything direct from myself, it was done to address all SA members, so they obviously thought the issue was serious enough to go to such lengths.

I could go on and on about the untapped market here in SA, but I've done it before and spoke at length to then membership/marketing manager (John DeRango?) about it 15 years ago in regards to the opportunity they had to market the club as the biggest in Australia. They didn't get it.

Would see more Carlton paraphernalia around the traps, then all of the other non SA clubs combined. It's market is untapped.

Well the club is doing the best it can.. Has sent all of the best Carlton players to Adelaide so you can watch them every other week!

You may want to ask tap to look into the benefits Hawthorn have received with Waverley and Tasmania as well.

In our history against the Crows, we've played 22 home and away games in Melbourne and just 11 in Adelaide. Pretty extraordinary. Haven't looked up the stats v Port but I think it reverses itself a little.

Yes, Heavs. You got me. The humiliation is palpable.

You are right. The AFL treats every club the same. There are no favourites with financial dividends, ground arrangements, payments for playing on certain grounds, no favoured teams for Anzac Day matches, no equalisation tax, no Cola, no situation such as one team losing their leading goal kicker in free agency for no compensation, whilst another team gets pick 2 for another player, no Essendon* playing only teams outside the 8 twice, no AFL sponsored Hobart/Launceston matches...none of this happens.

You got me. All clubs are treated equally....

- "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others". George Orwell has nothing to advise on the human spirit, as we know all people are treated exactly the same. So too in the AFL all clubs are treated exactly the same.

My crime is getting angry after watching 10 years of sub-par Carlton performances. I should just sit passively and put it all down to Carlton's poor recruiting. Yes. Ok will do as you request of me. Geez, can you work out why Carlton picked Warnock all those years ago. What a stuff up. Carlton is the only club to make poor draft decisions. Why? Must be our recruiting staff.

This year's grand final was a cracker.

Loved every moment of it. Excellent contest. The NRL grand final didn't have anything on the AFL grand final. We showed those Neanderthals.

I thought Lake, Hale and Frawley played excellent matches. Congrats to all concerned. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to more close contests in 2016. Can't wait for the Geelong/Hawthorn blockbusters too. Looking forward to seeing how Henderson and Dangerfield play for their new club. That Dangerfield trade was a good trade for Adelaide too..pick 9 and 28. wowee!. Maybe Port can knock em off in 2016. Should be good either way.
