You know why he was pissed off, because he expected Carlton to bend over backwards and treat him like a God, and tend to his needs before anyone else on the team. The way he behaved in the club, he thought he was Gold. In all his time at Carlton, going to family days, I only got ONE photo of him. Hardly was accessible at all.

Look I am not happy to see him in another clubs jumper, an he was a good player once, and yes he is a great kick (except in year 2005), but you need to admit he thought he was precious. Hence the predicament we are in now. Did not think Carlton would move to keep others first before him. Full stop end of story. The two games he did not play in 2005, we did not miss him one bit, better to have a hungry young player on the field than him. I hope we smack him up when we play against him. Mark my words there will be a massive brawl. Remember this post guys.

Are you sure you have never bagged Beaumont- Allen or Mckernan and I am sure there was a post about young Karl Norman a month or two back.

I'm sure I've had quite a bit to say about all of those guys and I'm certain much of it wasn't particularly flattering but I'll guarantee you that none of it had to do with them leaving the club.

Why would you criticize someone for leaving the club if you wanted them to leave the club? Same goes for Campo. I've been arguing for us to cut him loose for about 3 years now. He's gone. I'm happy.

As for Karl? I was extremely disappointed he couldn't make it. As I wrote in a post earlier this year I think the fact that Laurie and Karl didn't make it ranks right up the top of my list of great disappointments. Why didn't they make it? Because they're a pair of bloody numbskulls and I think it's worth pointing that out. I'm also disapoointed that Campo couldn't put his club and his team and his supporters above his own inadequacies and just knuckle down, play accountable, good football and do what was asked of him without all the crap. I'd much prefer him to be at the club doing that rather than leave as he did. However if he isn't capable of that then better he goes. Why didn't Campo stay at the club? Because he's a whinging bitch and I think that just as it's worth pointing out Laurie and Karl's inadequacies it's worth pointing that out to.

And the ABC and D above could be pointed at a few others aswell. Thorton could fall into the BC catergory at the age of 22

Sure could which is why when others were putting him up for a leadership role earlier in the year I argued against it. If he can cut the petulance he'd be fine but until that happens I wouldn't be backing him for such a role.

Most players have particular characteristics that keep them from being the next Voss or Hird. Fev drops his head in marking contests. Yep - you're right and it should be worked on. The difference with Campo is that not only does he have particular footballing characteristics that I dislike - he was also a whinging little bitch and was a destructive influence within the club over the last few years.

Sydney Blue is 100% right, anyone who plays 200 games for the club, makes the AA team, finds the ball as consistently as Campo whilst being tagged and scragged and belted every week in both good and poor sides etc etc deserves respect, it's that simple. Yes his departure was messy but nothing can take away from the fact that he was great for the Carlton FC.

A great? Now there's a word that gets tossed around way too lightly.

Bruce Doull is a great.

John Nicholls is a great.

Wayne Johnston is a great.

Greg Williams is a great.

Stephen Silvagni is a great.

Ken Hands is a great

Stephen Kernahan is a great

Alex Jesaulenko is a great

David McKay is a great

Geoff Southby is a great

Rod McGregor is a great

Ken Hunter is a great

Scott Camporeale is a great?

Excuse my mirth.

Campo was a good player with above average disposal who didn't cut it in a weaker side and was lucky to win a premiership by the freak occurrence of being drafted to the strongest side in the league.

No just Ben Harrison.

The good thing about our Murphy is he plays giving it his all every minute of every quarter of every game.. and he wants to be a player that makes a difference to the result .. EACH GAME!

Campo has done the right thing in going to a club on the up in Essendon*. Essendon* has done the right thing in continuing the tradition of picking up our discards. Carlton has done the right thing by pissing him off. So who has won?

Sheeds is smart, he now has the choice of playing 2 receivers in the team (Hird and Campo) in their march to September glory.
