Something not quite right there although he still did a good job.

Time for Laurie Levi to come out and challenge anyone who wants to shoot our dear Bambi's

Silvagni played a very good game yesterday. Not sure what you were looking at. Throws himself in with abandon, chases down opponents who appear much faster, looks like an India rubber man at times.

Actually reminds me a lot of someone, not sure who. It's those long sleeves, the hunched walk....

He will be the first to admit he didn't get enough of it.

In time he will be a good player but at the moment he lacks the physical strength to impact in contested marking situations.

He tries as hard as anyone though and is a class player as evidenced by his composure in slotting that goal on the run.

Matt Windley (whoever that is) from the HUN gave votes as follows;
3. Gibbs
2. Kerridge
1. Jones

Im hoping CC gets a nomination this week, but im guessing it'll go to Ainsworth from the Gold Coast who kicked 4 goals.

Best Part of the Day:-
Spilling my beer all over my old man cheering on Jack to slot that goal! Brilliant!

Worst Part of the Day:-
Thos bloody umpires. Useless. I hate being one of those people who gets ugly and vocal towards the umps but i didn't hold back after the siren yesterday........... they were terrible.

Game went pretty much according to pre-game script.

We had a committed team with a hard edge but low on polish which pretty much gifted Adelaide a scoreboard win but an even physical contest. Our boys gave their all.

Like everyone else, I'm really enjoying watching Charlie evolve.

Also watching JW's progression with a keen interest. Perhaps not as mature in a senior football sense as we thought, but a ripping kid with great footy attributes to develop.

To see Marchbank clearly carrying a significant shoulder concern and sent back onto the field while Weitering was being tested for a minor leg concern was poor form. I love Weitering but he needs to harden up a bit IMHO.
Credit to Marchbank. He was clearly in a lot of pain but he still attacked the contest.

Kane Cornes also gave Kerridge votes.

Re the dropped Kerridge mark: on the replay, Simmo's kick was as much the problem as the mark, but some people can't resist a shot at a whipping boy. Adelaide won because they were the more powerful team at crunch time.

Just the way fan forums work... when whipping boys make a mistake it's get out of my club... the players they like have to be playing injured

I agree Simmo's kick was equally to blame... our poor disposal led to many turnover goals yesterday

Simmos kicking is pretty ordinary in general

That'd be pretty close Imo. 3 for Gibbs a no brainer. The others could go to any 2 of Kerridge, Cripps, Kreuzer, Curnow, and Jones.

My opinion is that he doesn't do enough AT THIS STAGE and the stats back this up. Yes, I see all the chasing and pressure that he puts on and they contribute to turnovers, no doubt. He is a natural footballer who will be a super player in 3 years time. Right now, we need just as much offensively as we need him as a defensive forward

I'm happy to accept being a harder task master with SOJ than others but seriously, I think others need to come to the party a little as well and reflect on the fact that his name and SOS playing style affords him a little less scrutiny.

Sumner had one less possession, kicked the same number of goals (should've kicked one more) and BV whose opinion I value also said that Sumner does lots of stuff behind the scenes.
Yet, while people aren't baying for Sumner's blood, there is a distinct difference in people's assessment of the two.

Agreed...first reasoned response. Tries his guts out but needs to add more explicit involvement into his game
