At least there will be no misconceptions, they will know they will be in a contest come R1, and should be well prepared.
Wonder how many free kicks Charlie will receive?

Just when you think the AFL couldn't go any further in doing things their fans don't want - Wildcard Round is coming.

Surely we'll get a people's choice wildcard finalist soon

Can’t wait for the Filth to finish top two, only to have the army vote them into the Wildcard elimination.

Yeah. Just mark it down as a 40 point loss already.

Fk them and the AFL.

Lets just give it our best shot.
A competitive Carlton is better than the Carlton playing at the first Gather round.

Got me scratching my head why it's us for the second time in 4 years.

For all the whining about 'average' teams playing in the big time slots...

Wouldn't Collingwood be the obvious choice after Rankinegate last year?

Absolutely.

Collingwood doesnt like travelling.
Hang on, every team travels on Gather Round.

Farcical that the Pies control the AFL, whilst the Nepo's suck it dry.

I'm glad the AFL is trying to keep up with the NRL. The NRL is run by much smarter operators.
AFL just follows, but somehow, keep fking up.

This annoys me far more than the wildcard games.
There is significant disadvantage in drawing Port or the Crows on gather round and we’ve been stiffed with it twice.
On a personal level, living in Adelaide, I love gather round and just want to enjoy watching us play, taking my kids to the game as well. But a sellout crowd (will sellout within minutes) on a Thursday night is the most inconvenient possibility and we’ve had that twice in 4 years.

If it’s the club requesting it, FFS, stop.

As annoying as it is, when are we going to be a serious club and just get on with it and start winning these games instead of losing our minds?

Normally I’d be filthy. Remember we had an ‘easy’ draw this year. How did that work out for us?

Sort ourselves out first. Then it’s anyone, anywhere, anytime.

We KNOW the AFL will do us no favours.
