Maybe. Probably.

And yet… how confident can you be that GW hasn’t [REDACTED] it up?

No. haven't heard it.

Official word was he resigned.
I doubt he would resign without an agreed pay out.

If he was given the chance to resign or be sacked, he'd be paid out with only May-Oct left on his contract from our soft cap.
Only thing I can think is GW and CD reneged on the pay him out and forced him to resign. I highly doubt that.

Unofficial word (rumour) is Mark McKenzie, List Mgr from Hawks is a done deal.
If true, imo, that wouldn't give Austin a leg to stand on with a Legal contest.

Source?

If they pay him out, he has no leg to stand on.

Your contract was up this year, but we payed you out, so you don't even need to come to work anymore. What are you complaining about?

He can argue performance til the cows come home, but at the end of the day, if the club wants to go in another direction, that's their prerogative. He isn't owed anything beyond this year's salary.

As I said before, we are now a complete s#$t show.
So who still sees us as an attractive option for A grade talent?
I'm predicting a 'messiah' coach, then the circle is complete.

We need to call this new era, Houston gate as that is where it all started for me.

Ill-fitting jackets for everyone!

And if they don’t?

I’m just saying, GW had an eight month lead in, but he’s started like my old Datsun 180-B.

Combine that with Davies and his FootyGPT & I just can’t shake the feeling that this is going to get way more worser.

I'm assuming they aren't that stupid.

If his contract is up this year, how much money are they saving by not paying him out?

Wouldn't be worth the legal costs, I would've thought.

Voss in his AFL interview says he brought “elite training standards” to Carlton. @#$%&! LMAO.

What an absolute self unaware stubborn being.

He sure does have the gift of the gab and easily fools the media and some Carlton fans into feeling sorry for him.

I don’t feel sorry for him. The first half of his reign was a wild but positive roller coaster. The second half, was a deep dive into hell.

Like he has done with Brisbane previously, he’s left behind a broken club and driven the few talented players we have out to greener pastures.

I don’t feel any pity for him and this interview with Barrett just reinforces how arrogant he is.

I want to say good riddance but there are no winners here. I can only hope that we can miraculously turn things around a lot quicker than Brisbane did.

I dunno, Walshy called him the best leader he's come across in football.

Obviously the results weren't there, but he seems to have had a positive impact on the club and the playing group.

That's gotta count for something?
