I know we have had a shit run but we havent been setting attendance records in the last few years either.

Actually in 2004 the 2 biggest crowds in the home and away involved Carlton. Kangas can't even get a crowd to a Final.

Fantasy land??

Fantasy land applies when one is fantasising.

I am not fantasising, as I am making the point that there is no talk about relocation to the Gold Coast except amongst Carlton people, and more specifically TCers. In all football discussions I've heard or been involved with, I have never heard of a Carlton relocation mentioned, not once.

So what I'm implying is that Carlton people seem to be responsible for a lot of the negativity around the Carlton FC, and with this negativity comes hysteria, and with this paranoid hysteria, inuendo becomes rife, and as a result metamorphises into so called fact. This so called fact that Carlton will be moving to the Gold Coast or Sydney is pure fantasy.

Negativity is negativity. It is this sort of negativity that is baseless and pure fantasy, and created by Carlton people that gives potential members a reason to feel no hope, and therefore no point in becoming members in the future.

Then we wonder why Carlton is in a financial mess. And what are our saviours? Membership and Sponsors (off field) and our players (on field).

Carlton supporters are an important stakeholder of this football club. They have just as much responsibility in promoting the club in a positive light, as much as the Board and Players.

When Collo is negative, or Kouta backs his manager we all jump up and down, song and dance, find we're repulsed by the negativity that it brings to the club. I am doing the same about scaremongerers in defense of my club.

I am saying that when we cross the relocation path we confront it. Right now we should be heartened by the past, who we are and who we will be again. That's not fantasy, that is reality if you allow it to be.

I am not suggesting to anyone to stop having an opinion or being negative, I am pointing out your role in all this negativity, and that you should be made aware the effect this may be having on the club you love.
