I think Bryan will be traded to a ruck poor club like Stkilda.....if he cant get a game ahead of Deluca who has done nothing, or an out of form French who was dropped then he has real problems...
We need to draft a class rookie ruckman and stop drafting bit part cheap alternatives....Batson and Aisake also need to be given a chance.

I think Chris Bryan will go down as a wasted talent becuase he seems to approach AFL footy like you would a surburban league and doesnt have the mindset to apply himself....he looks like he is so used to being able to get by on natural ability against lesser players that he isnt used to working hard like you have to at AFL level.....

What really pisses me off is Riewoldt has been having so many problems kicking for goals. I bet against us he will kick a bag, it always happens to us. If they are down in form they always come good against us. I have been noticing this for a number of years now....Be interested to see if i am right again.

When you look at the team that was the last to beat the Saints in 2001.
Only Kouta, Whitnall and Wiggins are avaliable to play this week.
(Lappin was injured)

that shows how much has changed since 2001!

I agree witht he sentiment that the midfield has to win this game for us to have a chance.

Give Wiggles a go on Harvey.
He might be able to tag him out of the game.
Del Santo should be given to Bentick.
Whitnall can stop Riewoldt and T-Bird can have a crack Gehrig.
Hayes is still our problem. I dont know who can stop him.
Maybe Stevo can run off him

Jade Rawlings did that to us a while ago, as did Kent Kingsley in the NAB Cup game this year.

Tarrant did it to us early last year - he spent the first 2/3 weeks of the season kicking 1 goal 5, 2 goals 4 etc. So he turns around and kicks 7 goals 1 against us, I think Collingwood kicked 14 goals 1 in the second half of that game against us - they just couldnt miss.

I've read mixed bullant reviews of Batson...don't know what will end up of him. Great reviews allround on Aisake though. Apparently showing terrific signs although more 'development' time needed with the ants.

Our rucking department needs depend largely on the AFL lifespan of French. If he fails in the short term we're in a jam but if he produces for a couple more years we're ok.
French will probably return this week I reckon.

If we can't shutdown Hayes, Harvey, Dal Santo, Gtrain & Riewoldt we're gone.

That had as much to do with where they were getting their shots at goal i.e in the corridor.

The key to this week is Fev. If you think back Fev just loses the plot every time we play St Kilda which obviously has a huge effect on our forward structure. Hopefully he can put his St Kilda friendships to the side for a change and turn it on.

Ususally that's when he plays on Hudgton! Hopefully he can make the most of his absence as occurred last week when Fletcher was out.

Fev has said he can't get a kick on Hudgston. It's a mental thing.

Since he's not playing I'm expecting Fev to kick about 8. The Saints don't have a good match-up for him.

Just looked at the broadcast details for the game. Our game is on Fox Footy but the Ess vs WCE game is on Channel Eddie. I know they plan these things in advance, but in the cold light of the here and now you'd have to think our game vs the aints would be a better contest than the Scum vs WCE.

Chris Judd.

Spotlight on Sheedy.

Scum & WC have big (current) supporter base.
