[color=white]You have all got to keep the faith with Denis Pagain. If you really think about it this is the first year that we are really rebuilding. The loss of draft picks really hurt us. If you put the players in that we lost to other clubs because of the loss of draft picks (Wells, Goddard etc) we would really start to look like a different team. I honestly think that he is the man to lead this club. We need discipline and we need passion and I think he can provide the players with both.

The problem is Denis gameplan.

Even today when we chipped it around we ended up turning the ball over and Essendon* would hit us on the break. It was amazing how many times Kennedy led and led and led and would end up in the middle because we would rather take the shorter safer option. The kid can take contested marks so bloody kick it to him.

A win is a win and will do the youngsters a world of good and will alleviate some pressure off Denis until the end of June when we are going through another losing streak.

I noticed too that Kennedy was the only one to present up the wing

Amazing.......49 pages wanting Pagan out.....a good win; and we've got two posts only; one of which is critical of Pagan's gameplan!

What's amazing is that you think that Pagan's fate somehow rests between a poor half against C'wood and a win over Essendon* Under 19s. Some of us see it as related to Pagan's record over the last 4 years.

As for the game plan, Pagan said after the C'wood game he would get more input from the players leading up to Ess game - hence a game plan that included more structure up forward and less full-on flooding - both recognised by the players and posters here as problems.

Dont think we are getting carried away!
We had a game of footy and we won.
We could have easily lost, so we can at least be a little joyous.
F%$#%$@ what if we lost, the place would be a riot!

We didn't beat the bottom team - Brisbane were on the bottom - we beat the 14th team as of Friday afternoon. They are now the bottom team thanks to US!! :-D :-D Let's hope it stays that way.

Our kids beat their kids - pure and simple. Murphy, JK, Bentick, Betts, Carrazzo, Simmo, Thornton, Fisher, Walker = 9 "Kids"

Good on 'em.

That's a great point you make Dukester. And further to it, I've just calculated the average games and ages of the poor depleted bummers V the experienced and wise old navy blues.

Blues age 23.5 years Bummers 23.59 years.
Blues games 84.7 games Bummers 82 games.

Nice work yet again, Dukey boy!! :P

[quote="verbs"]There's a lot of "taking my bat and ball and going home" going on here.

Not going to games is my way of sending a message to management, and is my right to do so .It comes from a place of dedication to CFC not childishness.

BTW I am and always will be a fully paid up member and no I'm not from the media, just a 65 year old woman who has to use her daughter's computer.

Synbad i think that is the only way around this situation. Unless DP walks away and comes to some sort of arrangement - we are stuck with him. If we are stuck with him - we need to show some balls and dictate to him who is on his coaching panel.

Denis won't walk away. If you read the interviews he's given over the past few years he sees this as his biggest challenge and something that he can do. He sees walking away as quitting, and he doesn't see himself as a quitter.

It doesn't matter whether you agree with that or not, but it doesn't look like he'll jump, if he is to go he'll have to be pushed.

If Denis is to stay, then some fresh faces need to be brought in as assistants to perhaps replace the ones who are there now.

To see Ratten, Bradley, SOS back at the club would be fantastic. The young players would look up to some true Carlton greats of the game.

Saying that though, if Walker supposedly followed Collingwood as a kid, he probably would have hated Ratts, Braddles, SOS's guts!...

Surely deep down he loved them...
