Well it's about time we admitted it. We are heading for yet another wooden spoon. Its only a matter of time before we have made our way back to the bottom of the ladder.

I guess the positive is that we will get the No.1 draft pick again but we will only get better if the right players are let go at the end of the year.

Starting with Deluca and Saddington. Someone please tell me how Deluca gets a game.

Essendon* can have their fun at the bottom but they are only keeping it warm for us anyway.

Look at the talent of our list and it is SH!T !!!!!!!!
We need to finish on the bottom atleast another 2 years straight so we can then have a fair dinkum go at having a half decent side.
Remember NO PAIN NO GAIN! The draft has proven that it has worked for teams like STKILDA, GEELONG and WESTERN BULLDOGS AND MANY MORE! Sit back watch these kids grow with experience. I know it's a very weak menatlity for me to be thinking this, but I cannot see us geting out of this shit hole any other way. We're buried up to the neck with it.
Make no mistake we need 2 YEARS of great descent draft picks anyone else who disagree's with this, please educate me on how we are going to turn it around?

Yeah we do need to get more kids in the system but we cant just keep burning what we have just because theyre not Judd or Riewoldts.
There should be an emphasis on development and improvement.
Not just as footbalers but as young men.

Its one thing to draft the kids .. its another to see it all through.

True but we need youth to develop youth! We need atleast another 5-6 midfielders drafted next year even if they are high picks. We need 3-4 more young KPP players We need 2-3 young ruckman we have sweet f*ck all at the moment. As you have mentioned Synbad we have no leadership at the moment apart from a half assed Whitnall..
We need to flush all of the Prenda's Lonmuir's Chamber's Sporn's Teagues, Bryan's and many many more before we can realistically start developing! Play these kids and they will develop reagrdless if we finish 10 th or last!

Good.

Let them play for it. We can finish 2nd last and get just a good a kid and avoid the stigma of the spoon.

There are no Adam Cooney, Marc Murphy stand outs this year who are a class above the 2nd/3rd/4th best players in the draft. There are a few who could all very well end up as the best player.

So no real advantage in picking first over 2nd but the hit the club would take with back to back spoons for off field and finances would hurt a lot more than the 1% difference pick 1 might have over pick 2.

best case we let Essendon* finish last, pick Hansen, and we get GIBBS

OR SOMEONE ELSE WHO'S GOOD (hopefully a midfielder)

Sure that's what they said at the last super draft back in 2001. Judd's no class above the others

3 evenly talented players before the draft in 2001 and no need to finish last to ensure you got 1 of them. That pick 3 ended up as the best player sort of backs up what I am trying to say.

No need to finish last to get 'the standout'. Because there is unlikely to be 1 this year.

Or am I missing the point?

Why should we admit that? There are another 3 or 4 clubs struggling like us at the moment....

Take a look at the ladder imbecile!...
