The small and vocal Carlton crowd who support our boys through thick or thin, regardless if they support Pagan or not. They bought a tear to my eye, listening to their passion for their team.

They are the heart and soul of the club. They represented all of us. They were inspiring for me and for our kids out on the paddock.

Why is someone getting injured a positive or something to be happy about, no matter who they are? :garthp:

I liked Fev, Eddie and Lappin (despite bad kicking) on the forward line.
Liked Thornton, Whits and Scotland down back.
And Murphy, Wiggs, Walker, Stevens and Simpson through midfield.
Possibly McClaren too as a ruck, not backline. Has enough agression to give us something...maybe.
Figure there's about half a team there to work from and look forward to hopefully Kennedy, Carrazzo, Russell, Waite, Fish and maybe Setanta joining them for second half of the season to give us some preview of our team that will move up the ladder in the future.

I could watch the 2nd half and not feel sick.

That is the first match in a while where I haven't felt physically ill in the stomach...well the 2nd half anyway.

fast ball movement, powerful runners - walker and simpson.

speed - BEING PROACTIVE... it was impressive to watch.

scotland has been mr consistent....continuing his form from last half of last yr.....been really good for us. would like to see him kick goals

another positive: deluca will be back next week :garthp: nooooo

Scotland will be effective the day he stops running in circles as soon as he gets the ball.

Scotland has been good all year. Only 'senior' midfielder who applies any pressure on the ball carrier and does not simply 'amble' back to the defensive 50 with their back to the footy.

Younger players look good when they back themselves. We will get better when they have someone to follow who will support and protect them.

Can't fault the games of Thornton or Fev.

I actually though Prenda was acceptable at CHF in the second half.

Would not be Jumping off Tredrea just yet. Playing with one leg. He would've taken Thornbird to the cleaners if he was 100%. Oh yes this is a positives post.

Very Good: Fev, Murph
Good: Lance, Simmo & Walker
Honourable: Betts for his endeavour, McClaren for his aggression and looks like he may smack an opposition player one day.

According to todays Herald-Sun, Fev's final goal which took the Blue's losing margin to 34 points cost his company $150,000.

Bookies were completely plundered this round which is another positive.

Dont like the find a "positive in a pile of shit" attempts. :garthp:

I think we are accepting sub standard performances too easily.

the only real positives from the game were the performances of Mclaren and Whitnall. Mclaren took some great contested marks and worked hard around the ground, whilst Whitnall was the only carlton player to use the ball well.

OTHERWISE

Fevola bitched and moaned at the delivery he was getting.
scotland had it on a string but makes bad decisions
Kouta was sad to watch. Maybe he should pull the pin now!
Lappin could have kicked three and only kicked 3 behinds.
Houlihan has settled back into the selfish kid he was 2 years ago getting possesions of the the halfback line and spraying them.
Livingston made their crappy forwards look good.

DO I HAVE TO SAY ANYMORE.

UNACCEPTABLE

All I want is 4 quarters of dilligent, accountable football.

I dont like watching OUR JUMPER being mocked.

blueblood95 please respect that this thread is for posting about positives. If you can't see anything positive please do not post in here. There are many other posts you can post about negatives.

..positives you say..?.. ..ok, here goes..

..half way through the first quarter i was positive we were no chance of winning..

..watching it with a mate that goes fer the Dee's, i am positive even through a dodgey year i will aways derive sick amusement that we beat them in round 1..

..by watchin' my mates Dee's i am also positive it cuts to think McClean coulda been ours..

..i am positive that if our team continues as it is, we will never see the Fev's full potential..

..i am positive, that as too alluded ealsewhere,, that McClaren has been a good pick-up.. ..if for nothing else, as to the genuine mongrel that he brings into the side.. ..that was smart recruiting, cos it's sure obvious our coaching staff have no idea how to generate true grit in our players.. ..could he become our enforcer..??..

..i am positive, that i would enjoy our team continue the slide into the toilet if Pagan keeps on playing our hacks, but with the proviso that they go out and just whack the opposition's gun players.. ..we're gonna get beat on the scoreboard, but lets soften them up as they win.. ..we sure can spare the number of suspensions we'd cop, we have hacks to burn..!!.. ..bring back the biff.. ..let other teams fear us for the injuries they may endure come their finals campaign, instead of looking at us as percentage boosters..
