Sticks needs some guidance.

Media Management 101 would be a good start.

I'm waiting for the uprising from the People's Popular Front led by Fraserus Brownus.

It might be smoke and mirrors, but at least they're getting out there and attempting to paint a clear picture of the road they intend to build for the footy club.

The Rumour File on 3AW went to town on this story this morning. They said that a PR company was hired last week to make Smorgon, Sticks, Pagan and Malouf and The club look better. This week we find the 4 Amigos all happy together.

Our club is in a lot of trouble where those 4 clowns are still the chief decision makers

F**k me!

Does anyone on this forum have an ounce of positiveness in their being?

Seriously!

While I don't necessarily agree with the men in charge, at least they are trying to rebuild the image of the club.

THESE ARE POSITIVE STEPS PEOPLE.

F**k, why would anyone want to run this club, when all their OWN people want to do is shoot them down.

Give them a chance. If we are stuck with them, we might as well make the best of it.

Sheesh!

What a lot of nonsensical, insincere PR spin. The more I hear from the lot of them, the more convinced I am that at least three-quarters of them will be gone before too long.

Desperately hopeless measures from some hopelessly desperate men.

It might be a farce, and they may be in a precarious position, but lets remember that 3 of them are lifetime Carlton people; so admire them for that. They're doing their best to put a positive spin on at a terrible time in our history; that's all I can ask for at this stage with these people.

Yes Smorgon, Malouf and Kernahan may not seem to be the best board candidates, as there's always someone better out there, but they are doing their best for Carlton; regardless of the fact that you may want more.

Lets not say 'hopeless' against such a dark backdrop, just say not convinced that this is the best we can muster for the times.

A board spill should not bitter and divisive, it should be based on the merits of the candidates plan moving forward.

Be disappointed but don't bag your own.

Which 3 are lifetime Carlton people? I only count 2 - Sticks and Smorgon.

Politics Brian.
Hows this for a "fictional" scenario?

2 handpicked journos are "invited" by the President and CEO to have a chat. (Without the knowledge of the board)
The coach and club powerbroker are dragged along.
A couple of hours later the president and CEO stroll into the board meeting and spill the beans on what "innocently" transpired this afternoon.

What would you do other than grit your teeth and go with the flow?
Our profile is putrid as it is. There is more manipulation at Carlton than your local chiropractor.

I may be wrong, but wasn't Malouf a Carlton supporter/ member before his current CEO role?
