I just receive the renewal pack from the club.

New thing is that the scial club is no more and it is now called "Captains Club". What you get for the extra money are 3 CC members only functions.

Noticed that the price on my sons renewal form (Junior Premim Gold) is higher then in the brochure (have not received my pack yet).

Also noted that the member cap is now $5 additional.

Something that demonstrates the clubs peril cash flow is that all reserved seat holders have to renew by November 6 to keep their seats. That is at least 4 weeks earlier then normal.

Changes like that are usually done on a "first come, first serve" basis. Get your form in to the club (hand deliver is best), and make sure they note your preferred MCG section.

Go down to MC Hammer and they can change it for you on their computer, show you pictures of the seating and all.

Remember there are about eight to fifteen thousand empty seats.

I'm pretty sure I accidentally stumbled into the Captains Club one night on the piss in Oxford Street

Membership brochure is up now:

I must say, I quite like the pic on the front and hopefully all the junior memebers will have plenty of opportunity to wave their new flags next year!

making people pay for the caps is ridiculous - try showing a non member that joining is actually good value for money - good luck.

If I wasn't so loyal I don't think I would join.

just read the PDF, yep, I have even more to whinge about - I am an AFL Carlton Support member - each year they reduce the benefits that people like myself get - now not that I care about a pissy badge but I do care that after 20 straight years of being a member they consider me not as worthwhile as other members.

As far as I know the club benefits just as much financially from me and I am counted like everyone else. I will be interested to speak to the membership manager before I tick yes or no to support Carlton in my AFL pack next year.

Also couldn't we afford a new slogan for 07'?? 'Something' again -pfft

With the introduction of pay-by-the-month, I think I may fork out for a Social Club membership next year.

Good to see the people who were fortunate enough to be selected to go to that social club meeting had a real effect on them. All they changed was the name.

Gold members have got a better bar.

Well done to the club for introducing the "Scott Saunders" pay by the month option. This is a great inovation and will hopefully enable more supporters to join up & maybe enable current members to upgrade as the financial impact doesn't seem as great.

Great to see the marketing focus on our young stars - junior supporters can identify with them and watch their careers blossom.

Personalised letter from Fev to the junior members is also a great inovation.

Well done to the membership department!

regards
Ockham

I like the idea of rolling the membership over until you say stop too. I think that would reduce the non-sign up rate.

to be honest, at the moment im trying to work out what is a better membership.

gold or social club

and i gots to say, that gold looks the better option as i sit with my father anyways - but a reserved seat maybe the best option at this stage.

but the social club functions x 3 could be a good thing as well.

but the social club facilities at MCG are non-existant - flower shit to be hoenst.

TD they are okay, but MCG is shit house

would be good if it was

Gold Membership - for MCG Games
Social Membership - for TD Games
