If Essendon* take Sporn they'll be falling for Carlton's old-favourite error of "picking up a bloke who played well against us". McGuane & Sean Charles etc come to mind.

Sad but necessary.

Good Luck in the future and thanks for giving everything you had to the Navy Blue Guernsey.

None of those guys were that good,i thought Sporn had a bit,but did have injuries, but not serious, maybe suited more for ballet, then football, always injured, good luck to them, maybe 1 might get a go at Adelaide.

Next 3 delisted if David Teague is kept

Chris Bryan
Luke Livingston
Callam Chambers

Wouldn't mind seeing Bryan given another year.
Livo should be given a full year in the Ants forward line or midfield. Cos we all know hes shit at defence but there is obviously SOMETHING THERE!
Chambers... Good night
The other 2 should be Davies and Teague... GAWN!
Livo has WAY more to offer the team than Teague! Even though both are duds. I still don't know what the hell happened to Teage since his B&F.

I reckon the next 3 will be Livo, Davies and Chambers. Maybe one more out of the other suspects.

I wouldn't be suprised if Justin Davies is kept, many say his back is stuffed,if that was the case,i think he would've retired or was told to.Terry Daniher had high praise when he joined last year about the young players and he mentioned Davies. I can remember the club also said he looked very fit/good at preseason until the injury and Ratten also reckon he will come good. The guy is really good in the VFL,but has not shown it in the AFL,except in small flashes.

The guy should be playing midfield, not in the forward line where he played well with Blackwell and others. I expect Carlton will not delete all their spare midfield, but not sure if it will be Chambers, him or Jesse Smith, anyway it will be his last chance if they give it to him.

Althou,Davies,Livingston,Bryan,Bannister,Chambers should be worried as they haven't been signed yet and Mcgrath, not sure if he is uncontracted.

I actually hope we keep Davies, he is a class player, plays above hie height and has impressed me when playing senior football. His detractors can't get past the fact that he kicked a few more points than goals but that in reality was just a small patch of his short career. We would do well to keep him.

What position does he play? Not good enough to play half forward, not good enough to play in the midfield. Doesn't take many overhead marks. Can't kick to save himself. Rarely gets the ball.

Has had 5 injury free years to cement a spot in the worst team Carlton has ever produced and has failed to do so.

Doesn't get enough of the ball and producing cameo performances against Collingwood doesn't exempt him from being delisted.

Keeping him on the list would be preventing a new player in the system having a crack. Let's start fresh with a new player.

Sporn pick 11 in 2000. Another draft blunder.

add Livingston pick 4 in 2000 to the delistings. worst draft pick ever!

Uhh, the name 'Murray Vance' comes to mind...

- and I severely doubt we'll ditch Chris Bryan this year, as we are struggling ruckman-wise for next year already. Besides, I think he has a bit of potential....

Well all I can really say is thank God Sporn got those last 10 games this year (8 of which were at Russell's expense). If not for those games there's no way I would have been confortable with the club's decision to delist him, but now I'm completely fine with it.
