prendergast's awareness was worse than his kicking.

I can only echo the sentiments of those thanking and commiserating with Prenda and Sporn. A sad end to a career in the AFL (assuming no-one else picks them up) but they can be proud that they've achieved something that most boys can only dream about.

However, I'd like to make a special mention of someone who would almost certainly have been one of those three had he not worked his arse off, shirked no issues and really set himself to retain his place - who was recently rewarded with a new contract - and that is Simon Wiggins.

He is an inspiration - not the most talented guy by a long-shot, but a big sentimental favourite in my books. Well done Wiggo!!!

I reckon Banister and McGrath would rate pretty low in the awareness area.

They're the kings of being run down.

Not wrong about McGrath. His decision making is even worse then his awareness

Davies not being included in the first round of culling surprises me ALOT.

Does anyone know what his contract status is?

That's why we need a gameplan based on the strengths of the playing group..and then drill it into them, so that decisions are on par with the pace of the game.

Not necessarily all Prenders fault.

But I would agree that we're on the bottom on the ladder because we haven't got the players to take us higher....bring on the rest of the cull, and bring in the talent...and game plan.

I thank the 3 guys for their contribution to the club. They may have had their limitations, but they didn't end up in contract disputes etc and played with G&D.

I had hopes for Sporn, thought his disposal was the cleanest of the top 2000 draftees and thought he just needed to get more ball. Unfortunately, lost a bit of pace and lacked strength to play more than wing or HBF.

I expect there has to be atleast another 3 delistings, Round 3 (French)/Round 4/PSD/Rookie Promotion.

I suspect Bryan will be one of them if they think they can draft a better prospect.

It is always sad to see the players get delisted. Thanks to Sporn and Prendergast for trying as hard as they could.

I wonder if Prender will still represent the players as part of the Executive of the AFLPA?

Bondi, pray tell, what would that gameplan be? One that would suit Prenda, that is :?

I also would like to thank Prenda, he has been a perfect example why we should draft footballers and not athletes. He gave his all and did what he could - I wish him all the best for the future.

I always wanted Prenda as a tall mobile wingman. Good motor, Good mark and as a result would have been a good avenue to the forwards from the backline....if there was a HF link to go to.

Flooding would have made that difficult because once he got the ball in the outer, there would have been 100m of space between himself and Fev at FF...noone to go to.

We only saw him as a pinch hitter...again that's just my opinion of him. It never happened and it might've or mightn't have worked.

Anyway, he's gone now. I don't want to think of what could have been. He's made room for Renouf.

Lets move forward.

Prenda has been at the club since 1999 thats 8 years - does he qualify for life membership?

What is it with these Kerang boys - Prenda, Livo?

He could help solve Adelaide's key position woes and showed that he could be productive as a forward with an impressive end to the season for Carlton's VFL affiliate Northern Bullants.
:?:

One of his problems was his in between size. If they're so interested why wasn't he traded?
