Actually, Synbad had the scoop on this and the names concerned weeks ago.
He just knows how to keep his mouth shut.
Releasing info like this before the people commit serves no purpose.

Agree, seriously not cool that names (if true) have been leaked in a public forum. Hatching these sort of plans surely can't be easy, and they can come undone if people are made aware of the plans too early.

I tend to agree that until there is some action this thread could take a 'little nap'. Then again, maybe the cat is out of the bag.

I don't agree. 8)

Although it was gone for about 24 hours, so that's a good compromise.

Clocks yes. Hats...no.

Good to see this back up. I fail to see how this thread could be in any way detrimental to the Carlton Football Club, even if *shudders in fear* a journalist might read it.

It makes for some interesting reading, and discussion.

The $64 question. Seems that some were happy to reveal they were in the know and then suddenly they are worried that those behind a challenge might back out if the media get wind of it before they hammered out the details. This I do not get. One would assume these people have the best interest of the CFC at heart and not their own media profile. Do we think Smorgon and co would not know a challenge is in the wind? It's not as though we are in a war and planning a sneak attack here. If those wanting to take over would be scared over the media getting wind off it too early and might reconsider their challenge, then I'm afraid serious doubts would then have to be held about their commitment in the first place.

We want 100% all in and hang the circumstances, not softly softly, lurking around corners type stuff. Sure a bad news media storm is undesirable but they don't have to turn it into one if the media comes a-calling. Perhaps the key personnel have not actually agreed to do this yet and that is why names shouldn't be mentioned, if the saviours have yet to commit.

It all seems a little strange to me. Either it is or it isn't. Maybe doesn't fill me with confidence that there is 100% commitment to the cause.
