Well, as for me? I've given up on the whole lot mainly the match committee for recycling the same players week in week out. We have some young guys who I would rather see promoted now rather than 2-3 games before the season ends. But Chambers? He had a very ordinary game last week. Bannister for instance was the real star of the backline. But again play the youngsters like Russell, Blackwell etc.

Prenda is still in? Jesus what the hell does this guy do to justify his posistion in the side??????????

Not sure in all honesty.

I think he may match up on Bandy. They are both very similar players, both mobile, tall, running machines that cannot hold down a key position, can't hold a mark or hit a barn door from 30m to save their lives.

Went to the AFL website to see the teams and saw this....

http://afl.com.au/default.asp?pg=matchdetails&spg=default&m_tournamentmatch_id=1443

Match Preview: Western Bulldogs v Carlton

Quote:
The Bulldogs have not given a team a drubbing in excess of 10 goals since 2002 but get their opportunity this weekend. While the Blues cannot be criticised for their endeavour, they simply do not have enough quality players on their list.

So we have become the easy beats now... % boosters for other teams..

Just heard that Mark Fraser will umpire this game for us...

Woo Hoo, don't need a ruckman, Eddie Betts to get 30 tap outs....

what a pathetic and stupid move by Denis the Genious... Geez your so hopless Denis.....

if anyone cared to watch last week's match, u would have seen Livo played a great game... not just an avrage game but a great one... his body looked to carry some momentum and he looked the goods...

What on earth are those idiots at selection table thinking? Sure livo doesnt have a place for this week's line up, but why not put him forward or even let him run loose to keep up that momentum? isnt our games for the rest of the season all about trying out the Youth and see who can make it??

who cares about tactics and how short or tall the bulldogs play.... Denis is kidding himself and is killing our Club by trying to play tactics so late in the season now that our season is Over....

whats even worse is that we get the mid year break, which means livo will be out of action for a while... does anyone know what that means?

it means here we go again... Livo will Struggle to get back to it, and with the season so close to an end, Denis might surprise us all by letting him go.... :(

i would rathar have droped thornton than Livo, just for the sake of keeping him up.....

there is no point in Livo playing for the Bullants.. it would be even a more Stupid move..... if u not goona play a guy who is been your best last week, then give him an early Vacation and let him Rest.....

Geez Denis, your proving to be way past your best :(

Most supporters wanted to take Livo around the back and shoot him during the last couple of years but now he seems to be a favourite son. I love you guys :D

If Luke IS up in Darwin I can only imagine Fevola is injured and being replaced, with Kouta taking FF and Luke popping down back

Or some such thing

If not, I just don't know anymore

My god when did Livingston became a superstar, his done reasonable ok. I doubt he will become a Carlton Champion any day now but he will get murdered in the heat up there, that's possibly why he got dropped i think and he has only played one good game, look at Karl Norman he still hasn't played much and he was playing about the same as Livingstone.

I can understand the need for speed... good idea, but Simpson?

How many chances does this guy need?

His problem - and it is only a slight one - is that HE CAN'T FIND THE BALL....

Winning football matches is difficult if your players get under 10 possessions every game they play.

What other quick players do we have that can play in the midfield?

79, mate. simpson in his games doesnt get the game time of a kouta, campo or stevens, far from it.

same goes for bentick, so i wouldn't expect many of these kids to rack up huge stats when getting limited game time, and not much chance to adjust to the pace of the game. simmo got 18 possies against the tigers and looked better than a lot of our senior players.

why? he was given decent game time. sure if simmo gets another donut after 60 min of play, then he's probably better suited to full games in the ants till he gets a decent run in the ones.

hopefully up in darwin he will be used extensivley, where he can use his pace and footskills

From the CFC email I got today:

Quote:
A quick look at the Carlton travelling party revealed 24 players, the 22 selected in the side plus two emergencies just in case.

So assuming Livo is one of those two emergencies, then I would think he still has a chance to play??

I thought Livo was ordinary vs Brisbane and was outplayed by a noname kid in Merret who outmarked him twice and easily...saying all that though I wouldnt have dropped him as we have nothing else and we look thin down back. Good to see Simpson back....

Why has Bryan been named on the bench??

Surely you would have him start as ruckman?

The gezman,

I take your point on board... and bentick is one player that i would select in front of simpson. He has had limited game time but has produced.

Limited game time - carazzo - last year - and he still got over 10 possessions.

It takes a while to develop the youngsters... but i have been watching footy for a long, long while... and in my humble opinion he looks too happy out there. not enough focus and aggression. And he doesn't get the footy
