What was Walker going to learn by playing on Cooney? I don't mind him playing on McLeod Aker etc But?
As soon as Eade realised that Walker was tagging he sent Cooney forward. Wouldn't it have been a perfect opportunity for Walker to play his own game and get 20 disposals as a ruck-rover?

Its all about teaching him something different at the moment. Saturday night, I didn't watch the game, but if he started on Cooney, who then went forward, then he's learnt sacrifice for the team first of all, watched the way Cooney went about it. he's then moved onto Murphy, a pretty good player, seen how he went about it and learnt a little about playing in the backline, what its like when those upfield don't play accountable football and seen the concequences of that.

If he'd played his own game and got 20 posessions he'd have learnt what he already knows. It would have done him some good, but we went an alround game from him
